• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

*** New Dates! *** Spring Fling Husky Ride, Stonyford, CA, May 13,14,15

I'm hoping to so some "testing" today and tomorrow. If she runs like shes supposed to, I'm in. I'll be showing up Saturday if all goes well...crossing fingers. Thanks for assistance with the troubleshooting Eric & Tami.

You're more than welcome! We are home for a while, loading up and whatnot; If you have trouble or whatever, give us a ring! Go take it around the block right now! We'll be listening for you

I plan on riding Middle Creek Sunday and with the way my rides go I'll probably end up in Stony, maybe will cross paths.

Drive on over to Stony...the trails are way better than Middle Creek!

What will you be riding and how many in your group? I hope we see you!

I'll be on my TC510 with Ossidog on his Yammi, not sure how many others.
MC is closer to me, ride for a few hrs and be home by 3 or 4 from lower deer valley rd can be in Stony in a hr and have fun doing it.

Hey Dean, thanks a lot for that map. I have to say that the Mendocino Nat'l Forest people definitely have their act together when it
comes to putting together a nice easy to read and very detailed map of their trail system. I can't wait to get back there and explore more
areas. Oh yeah and thanks for the coffee, Coffee.

Patience, my little lambs! I'm getting to it right now :)

I still want my sticker that reads "I the survived a Stonyford ride with Woodschick 2011."

Great fun! Heck, I even enjoyed the unintentional swim with my bike at the end of the ride. Thank god Eric was there. I didnt have the energy to keep my head above water, let alone kicking the bike over after dunking it. I would have been happy to be towed home in that rusted out cart we found! In awe of Eric and your skills and fitness

Thanks again for taking me along!

There was a bit of snow in the mountains. I don't have a point & shoot camera, just the DSLR, so no actual dirt riding pics from me.

Thanks for coming on out, CJ! We had a blast hanging out with you, and the riding was pretty darned good, too! Let's do it again soon, ok?

I had an absolutely fabulous time. I got to meet a handful of new riders that were all cool beyond belief, ride the trails the way I like it and enjoy the company of some truly great folks. Given the opportunity I’d do it again and again.

On top of it all the place is beyond beautiful, even with the minor amount of inclement weather we encountered; it would be hard to find another place that compares.

I hope we have a chance to do this again. Soon.

I know its early to ask, But will their be another Stonyfeild ride the same time next year as I'll pencil in a rough date for next year. I have a couple of rides this year at home here and nothing for next year.
I love the lunch time pix

If you fly in from Australia, my hunch is something could be arranged around your schedule. :)

Personally, I'd like to see Cafe Husky gatherings happen 3-4 times a year... or more. Maybe I could finally make one!
