  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc My second 165 kitted bike and it's the frankenbike...

BTW, Holy Crap! Scott is fast! He just zips out of sight.

You don't get to wear a AA plate without being fast. When we first started the the day I was leading and he was running his bike up my ass. I thought it was Jake and was thinking wow, Jake came to prove something today. Was happy to see it was Scott as Jake and I ride a real similar speed and I thought I was off my game :D

So you've still some fight left in you........I wonder if Jake knows he's your target competition..

Jake and I have ridden a good amount together in the last 5 years. We have always been real close in speed. It is always a mob session when we get together. Fun stuff.

ha ha ha yes a little. I like trail competitions in fun but as an all out racer I don't really have that fire in me any more. 48, three kids and a biz makes me keep my speed in check. I have been real lucky this last few years to not fark myself up with the piles of miles I have done. Age seems to teach you to ride within you limits. But if everything pans out i will be racing the Idaho City ISDE Qualifier this year.

Hi guys Im new here but I have been reading about the 165 kit. There is a 09 Husky CR125 for sale locally for $1400 would that make a good platform to transform into a 165 woods bike? The suspension has been revalved for the woods already. I rode the bike today it feels tight, no real issues.

That's the test bed bike for the kit. They have done a little refining of the bike since 09 but basicly the same bike as the '13.

Wow, that sounds like a great deal... Even if it needs freshened up, that is a great deal! HOP ON IT NOW, before someone else snags it!

They had a frame recall on the 09 model as I remember. Basically an upgrade to a 2010 style frame due to frames breaking on the 09 models. Otherwise basically the same.
