I saw Jody's write-up. I think he was referring to the 2010. If it helps, I saw a guy at WORCS Round 9 in Cahuilla on a TC449 and he was, at least, competitive. Kept slowing down at the main table top though.
There's a recent issue of MXA where they praise the off-road worthyness of the 449. It still has a way to go though.
That "Guy" was Charles Jirsa who is Husqvarna's Technical Service Director. He has developed the suspension settings that Cory Graffunder has used all year. The bike he was riding is Cory's practice bike, the same bike he is riding at the "Big Sky" this weekend in Montana. The bike is stock except for an FMF pipe and his suspension. I have had the chance to ride with Charles, Tom Webb, Mike Farmer and 3 Kawi guys in Utah and the Husky worked as good if not better than the 2013 KTM 450 XC-W that Tom was riding or the 450 KXF's. Remember please the "Magazine" guys are just people who will tell you that the best bike to buy is the 2013 ????????????? and next year it will be a 2014 XXXXXXXXX. Ride your bike and have fun doing it, or get a job at Moto Dirt Bike World Action X and you can tell us what to ride too.
DB in AZ going riding on my 1981 250 OR Husky and my riding buddy is on a 2012 KTM 350 XC-F. Mine is paid for and he only owes $8,500, so who smiles more at the end of the ride.
