Also If the 449 is so good and a great seller, why would there be a need for a new TC 450 X-Lite model ?
to have a true MX bike.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

So that means the TC449 is NOT a true MX Bike, and hence the original magazine was quite just and correct !
As the owner of a 2011 TE449 I can say that it is a great dual sport bike. That is where it ends. It is not a race bike.
Show me 1 other person in the world who has been able to do anything with the 449/511 in a real race series? Not knocking Corys accomplishments, but the Western HS Series is not a top tier series by any stretch.
If the bike was a competitive race bike, why does every other Husky racer in the world race 310s over the 449? I am sure that FAR would be racing XC1 in GNCC if they thought they could be competitive with the 449.
I guess Cory has the honor of being the only guy in the world who has won a race on a 449/511...
I wonder what his results would have been like on KX450?

Cory did great ... A championship is not easy to accomplish on any level starting in high school ... Husqvarna should keep him around and pay him well and see how much high he can go ...
Is this a real race series? I really like this pic ... Both the rider and championship winning bike are showing so much speed ...
On the penultimate event of the season Mauno Hermunen traveled to Freiburg as Championship leader. A win the first race and a fourth place in the second one was enough to decide the Championship. During the whole season the Finn on his SM449 showed that he was the man to beat. So the last event will be a big victory lap for Mauno.

I am sure I would have done better on my GG300. Will I be riding it at the Corduroy Enduro this weekend? Not a chance. If I was going on a 200kms trail ride with some buds that required some road running and trails, it would be a super choice.
Whys that? I thought they were the same but the 511 has more torqueI would race my TE 449 over my TE 510 any day. The results would definitely be better on the 449.
