Motor has been apart prior to me getting the bike, work done by these guys http://www.motocorseperformance.com/
they attempted to repair bike being stuck in 2nd gear. I don't know what they did to repair it (supposedly replaced shift fork) but it happened again when I was in Newfoundland, was able to force it to shift, but now I have it apart again looking for the problem.
First of all, work they did was complete rip-off, they reused gaskets, tab locking washers, misaligned gears on balance shaft and broke clutch basket, inside part of stator case ("starter support") and timing chain guide because they forced everything together, I discovered it all on my first repair before the trip, but I had not experienced shifting issues so I did not split the case, only replaced $1000+ worth of parts they damaged. Now that shifting issue came back (and went away) I am looking at everything and anything, replacing every bearing, bushing and washer, this is when I noticed that #11 (top right corner) is missing from the motor.
Apparently NLA (No Longer Available) so they sent me new part that supersedes it, it fits on the shaft, but not sure if that is correct part because I never had the original in there to compare thickness and diameter
