    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I modified a Honda Cr 250 chain tensioner that I can weld on towards front and I just got a Maico rear chain guide I can modify to fit in the rear before sprocket. The Cr tensioner had a so so spring on it but the stock husky spring went right on for more tension. Gonna look trick
 
So just a fraction of time in. Got swingarm all welded up. That includes a chain guide mount, rear chain adjuster tabs and also one for the chain tensioner underneath. That swingarm been off and on this bike 50 million times to check alignment, tack weld, etc.....

Waiting for material for brake stay arm and brake rod to fab up.

Also, waiting on recessed Allen bolts for rear sprocket.

If got time I think I can polish everything up to look like chrome and get a swingarm decal on.

Lots work! Bike gonna be one of kind badass!

I might have a red Husky tensioner roller but might see if DC can make me an orange one.

Got some black Delrin coming to make a chain buffer pad.

Thinking about sending the frame out to get powder coated in white. Silver is toast due to making fox air shock mounts and welding them on.

Rear is coming in at 18 rear and can drop front forks down.
 
Actually I kinda like the red on there but I’ll have to make a new arm from 8mm to 6mm bolt size.

Here will be the back brake stay. Need to do some welding on back side for flange and front bushing.

Just about ready to polish everything up and get some new bearings for front. I made special bushings up front to accept the original bearings. It had Delrin ones in it.

Think I’ll reproduce this back brake lever but instead slots, go drilled holes and set up to use a modern black tip.

It’s sitting high on this bike because it needs adjusted.

These are 7602 racing tips

Darin ! Bravo on the brake lever , perfect all Huskies could use this longer lever ! May want a pattern as was thinking of making a whole batch. Oh humm like the updated rear chain guide - so sick of the rollers wearing out in stock ones. Have someone who s ready and waiting to make some and can make them on his Haas cnc That lever looks like a late new piece ?

Gary, lever was patterned off the 83 CR 250 lever, just lil longer. Then welded on a tab for replaceable modern tip, off 2014/15 Husky, like TC 250. Then I machined pivot part to accept two bearings, pressed in for the 8mm bolt, to pivot.

On back side is a welded on tab for a threaded for 6mm bolt to hit swing arm but as height adjuster.

The lever part I might have a template somewhere I can get you and bearing size?
