• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

sounds good to me..you can count me in if you want to make some cool parts...
hmmm, titanium axles, titanium swingarm pivots??

you this started over 2 years ago:cry:

Patience grass hopper! I always finish a project.

I want these bikes, when wheeled out to have that factory bad ass look.....

What kills me is I work mon-fri, 60 hours week then also travel and put 70,000 miles on year. On top of that we have horses, so never dull moment.

Sure, I could throw money at these things and get them done, but that takes the fun out of it.

But I will warn you that I'm going to have more bikes in future to build. My plan is to finish these first unless I stumble on heck of deal.

Yes, there will be all kinds of stuff we can make. The list just keeps going, going and going.......

I used to be good on these machines about 20 years ago. So gonna be lil rusty at first but it will all come back to me.

But hang on cause you are going to see some neat out of the box things made.

Done for today......

Those Husky emblems on cylinder are tig welded into the fins and along bottom of cylinder.

Hmmm, not sure bout the new emblems. messes with the lines of the motor.

You know, I thought the same thing. Son was out with couple of his riding buddies.
At first we looked at emblem straight right in middle. Then we angled it. We shot the first color in burgundy.
Then we tried black. Black looked best transitioning from black cases. Then they told me to shake the rest of the Burgandy and go black. So I redid everything in black.

I'll post one more pic.

Wish I could get these pics to look what these bikes do in person, looking at them.
