• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

I like the idea of spitting the Husqvarna lettering Yellow on top , blue on bottom , especially if you can get the split line to match the ones on the stripes.

Not sure about the angled stripes, not enough white to break up the stripes. I may try a same width yel/blu stripe under the numbers...

Another thing i've done is take a picture of the area you want to stripe & bring it into Paint (program) or any photo modifying photo program & mess around
with in there. I get some ideas & bounce them off the Wife or my daughter's, woman usually have a good sense of what matches.

Look awesome so far, really sets you bike apart from the rest.

Here is nother?
In taking another look, I think the blue and yellow stripes should be solid straight lines across the entire top, then each husky letter should be blue on top and yellow on bottom, obviously the intent is perfect color match with blue lettering on top with yellow background and yellow lettering on bottom with blue background.

Agree with Rufo, the angled stripes not quite working.

Somewhere on the bike I think you should incorporate the very old husky crown logo. Make it very inconspicuous such that only husky lovers would recognize it!

I rekon you should strip the side plates off totally and fabricate a couple of alloy guards to cover the exhaust / shock mounts. let those big shockers hang out in space.

Ok, I'm listening to you guys. You guys big help.
I had some regular blue and yellow vinyl but don't know where it is after 25 years!
Ok, let me go get some blue and yellow electrical tape. Great idea!
You think it will stick in -14 degrees ?

Here is some more concepts?

So here they are to compare?

Is this better?

Got more pieces of duct tape on bottom of work boots than do laying these things out!
