• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

i ordered some sherris berries and roses for my "red head"....then ordered a new 5-75 lb torque wrench for my other "girls". gotta keep em all happy!

Yes for sure have them stripped. I listened to Darin and had old anodizing taken off in 10 minutes

But removing those small rock dings and scratches etc is another story - still working on the six rims I had done
Well four are done at least.

Side panels going out today to Ride Pg, for graphic work.

I ordered 2 sets of rim decals.

One for this bike. Silver background with blue lettering for the blue rims.

Then a set for 82 Cr 250. They will be red background with black lettering on the silver anodized rims.

I also am going to have graphics made up for the 82 front fender, front number plate, rear fender and side panels.

Ok! Colors inc called me and they are shipping my rims back to me from being stripped.
So looks like total with shipping, 4 rims is $125.

Ok, since got swing arm on and shocks. Thought I would bite the bullet and get the air box finished.
Had to make few cuts around springs and weld the openings like original box closed.
Working on sanding and polishing. Gonna be a long process but here is what it looks like.

Here is what the rims look like after Colors inc stripped them for me.
Not a trace of old anodizing on them at all.
All down to good clean aluminum. So looks like it's at $25 a rim. Was $25 to ship back to me.

All I have to do now is sand them to 1500 grit and polish them.

Taking this set back down to anodize.

That's a lot of sticker covering those beautifully restored rims. I am not a fan of stickers. I like to let the mechanical beauty of the metal speak. I like selective choice decals tastefully placed in moderation. I have no doubt your bikes are gonna be awesome.

Are you just teasing us out in cyberland , WHATS HAPPENING to those purdy huskys ************************************************************************************************************************!!!

Oh! gonna be while guys before I get back to bike bus!

Had to get race bikes out and get them fired.

Seems like I came out of winter 100 mph!

Been busy traveling with work and got back from Atlanta. Next weekend head to Arizona but that vacation trip! We driving to enjoy the views!

So I have not done zippo to these things.
