• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

Just amazed at how fast stuff can get here from Europe in 3-4 days. Now, this one that got held up from Netherlands, was shipped Monday and being delivered today. Actually, Canadian ones take longest? Australia is 3-4 days.

I just figure that if I get nailed! I will just pass it off to the consumer, which is me!

We getting there!

Got some painting of hubs to do!

Plus artwork on all covers after polished.

Foot pegs are on, but i ordered spacers for foot peg springs and longer bolts.

Sorry to hear about your shipping issues. Damn nice of you to send the other fella his order. I stay away from Philly. I live in the Amish country amongst the farmland. Your Maico is gonna be sick! I love the giant raw castings on the engines and hubs. They need the refinement I know you are gonna give it. One hell of a stable of bikes with the Huskys, Maico, and Fox bike. Wish I had half your energy and half the cash you got in your bikes. Great work as always.

Thanx OBD!

I live out in farmland, middle of nowhere, as well. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

This has been a dream of mine that I have wanted to do for years.

Would be fun to build these full time but then again, it would end up not being fun.

The fact that I CAN'T do it full time is what keeps it fun. It's bonus time for me. When I have bonus time... life is being good to me. No bad attitudes, grumps, or complaints are allowed in the shop.

Done

Workin on clutch cover next

I think you get the idea I’m after

This is the clutch cover. I just have to get rid of all my finger prints.

Front hub is in the oven. Doing it in dark grey. I’ve seen some in black and some dark grey.

Hub done but hot!

Not sure yet? Other thoughts are to do half black and half red. Going with the ribs since they are all even.

So when wheel spins you see red or black?
