If going GG be sure to go with the latest chassis/engine (phoenix) spec not the older heavy weight set up. But again like Fletch said the C/B shaft KTM/Husky machine... is just amazing.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Dealer I bought my GG off is no longer selling them(due to GG AUS giving another dealer 15km down the road from him GG too!) & has an '18 EC250 6 Days(just different plastics) for $10K.
Awesome color of the italian 2T aside, they do not have a hydro clutch or e-start. But for under 4K add a lectron, gnarly pipe and do the clutch arm mod, and you have one heck of nice machine. Lots of torque out of the WR300. Lots.hey guys, so i am looking a trading in my 2010 TE450 for either a 250 or 300, (15-17 models). there is quite a few second hand selling for around 8-10K (in Australia),
only question is i have not yet rode one. I have been to a Beta & Gas Gas test ride day the other week, i found the Beta 300 just stupid power, while the 250 was a little easy to ride,
then i rode the Gas Gas models, the 300 was what i thought riding a 300 would be like, and the 250 was just as good, a little easy to push it harder, but saying that, i was pretty much sold on the fact i need a 2T, (i did ride the beta 350,390,430 4t but was like meh, my te450 is almost as good)
overall around the little test track i was 12 seconds faster on the EC300, 10 secs faster on the EC250 compared to my TE450, and i loved it, riding became enjoying instead of a punish.
so what would i expect from a newer Austrian Husky compared to the Gas Gas 2019 models, or what about the last of the Italian 2010/2013 models, seen some pop up under 4K , or what should i look out for
any help would be good
cheers
dean
I heard a rumor that TM was going out of business??If you're considering the KTM/Husky for about the same money you should look at the TM en300 or en250 which has an amazing engine and suspension. The GasGas is lower in price than either the KTM or TM but that said my friend who bought a GasGas and then rode my TM said if he had it to do over he would buy the TM. Same thing as another friend said after buying a Beta 300 and rode my TM en300. I've heard that Aussies have trouble getting access to good race fuel which would be a deal breaker on the TM since they all require race fuel. My en300 MAP switch on the handlebar changes the personality quite a bit so if you're looking for smooth linear power MAP 2 is perfect... MAP 1 in ridiculously fast and would be great for MX or sand.

Though I have to admit, my current bike a 2017 TX300 is one hell of a machine, too. Lighter still, than my '09 WR300. And with the super smooth power and very light overall weight, it can ride for hours and hours and after everyone else is whooped, I'm still looking for new bush to wack.
In contrast my '13 TE511 killed me on the trails. Two to three hours of riding and I couldn't walk the next day.
I'd be offering $2.5-$3K absolute tops. Its a near 10 year old bike no longer in production with no rego.
