• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Peekaboo, I see you...

Hi , I am new guy .. this looks as good a thread as any for introductions .. current rides are ..

The supernonsense

And the little nonsense ..A semi resto project , bought it last week badly neglected in a garden . Clutch slipping , low power .. general untidy scruffy peeling stickers rusty nastiness .. A week of work in the evenings with the spanners, little sleep ,coffee and some guess work and we have a runner with good comp , good starting and no clutch slip . Ahh singles ya gotta love the simplicity .. nice to get away from the dirty great diseasels at work .

Was the husky MOT yesterday . Was all a close run thing though , had to go to the next town over to get a front tyre , things went wrong , man did not have my tyre , clock was ticking . Found a shop had a Maxxis supermaxx on the shelf .. never had one of those before .. I took it I was desperate . They threw it on the front .. " take it easy now sir , new tyre .. blah blah " .. Brrraaaap Braaaap , sat nav say 23 mins to MOT station , I have 8 mins . Straight into the first roundabout ... scrub or die .. sailed round no probs ..few mins of ridiculous riding later ... Made it to the test center . Pleased enough with the Maxxis tyre on a dry sunny day , see what it's like on a cold damp day for final evaluaton .

Ride report!! Howd it go? Looks good mate, nice fork stickers too!

Haven't taken it for a real ride yet, sliced my hand open and constant rain lately. From the round the block test run it's 1 finger stoppies galore lol

Fork stickers will go once the classier crispy designs ones show up.

No speedo either so need to be careful while it's still registered! still a bit of head shake at speed, no idea what speed though lol

Been riding it at NAPA speedway in Albuquerque recently
Home brew scorpion exhaust with port for Bazzaz AFAM auto tuner (pretty obnoxious with baffle out)
Rexfelgen rims/ Brembo rotor
Michelin 16.5 slick upfront, now running dunlop slick on rear
GPR steering damper
Racetech rear spring

that can is so cute, I want to pinch it on it's cheek! Contact me if you need any rear axle block sliders. You can find all the info you need on them in the "Official Six-Nine Design Axle Block Slider Thread" in this (Supermoto) forum.

Track days are fun!

Looks great! Where did you get the black radiator shrouds and side pannels? I haven't had much luck finding the side pannels for the dual exhaust, in anything but white. Who did the graphics? Thinking the 08 450RR had the black plastic and graphics like that, but I'm not sure.
Thanks
