  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Just bought 2 new TE310R's--now what?

Not all dealers have the equipment to reflash. Find a good Husky dealer,not a BMW dealer thats dropping the brand. I went to Town and Country in NJ for the reflash,5minutes $30.00.....seemed to double the horsepower and runs like it should. I went with the race map w\o race exhaust (map 2). Map1 is the stock street restricted map yuck.

From what i understand, yes and yes. Rode another 40 miles today. All I can say is what a fun bike it is. I had a cop following me today and actually was hoping he would pull me over because I am totally legal. But he didn't, he was just looking.
Anyway the seat is hard and my butt hurts so.....I'm thinking about a Terra for the street and using the TE 310 as a dedicated off road weapon.
My local dealer Gold coast motorsports in New Hyde Park NY has a Strada that I went to look at today. I was really hoping to do business with them. But they only have 1 husky left and he didn't seem to know much about them. No Moss tool etc. LOL he also gave me a price of $7,999.I asked him if that was OTD and he said no!!! LOL.
I found one for like $2000 less not to far away at a dealer I like so...

Thanks, I emailed them. The waiting sucks. Who would of thought that you could buy a new motorcycle that ran so bad and no dealer support at all. Feels like such a mistake.

Yeah thats crazy. Don't worry, once you get it sorted you'll forget how spell the word "mistake"

My bike was powered up, sprung and valved for my weight and absolutely ready to ride before I even layed eyes on it.
I left my car at the dealer and rode the bike straight into the bush. It was muddy before I even got it onto the trailer.

Im lovin the two TE310R's I bought.Yes the set up was a little bit of a hassle because I bought from a BMW dealer. But now that there set up,all I wanna do is ride,ride,ride,and of course buy another Husky while there cheap.
The KTM that is comparable to the 310 is a 350EXC-F or something and is close to $10,000 OTD and who knows what set up woes they have. Im only into these bikes for $6,200 each. So yes I will buy yet another before the big price increase of 2014.Then I should be good for a few years.
