• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Shoot! WE forgot a Cafe Husky sticker to slap on the old rig. See what happens when Dean, or Woodschick dosn't show? I am still looking for my cable, and no, my computer has no card reader.

Funny but I was thinking of another trip up just to "properly" honor the Husky w/a Cafe sticker! Turns out I have one available for such a placement. I couldn't find it before I left sunday am.....

Hey,
that sounds like a good excuse to get out of the house. Lemyno when you plan on running up, if you don't mind company and I have the time to go. I found my extras a day late also. DOH....

Looks like everyone had a good time!

I'm kind of groovin' on that Husky with the real California license plate:applause:

Mmm...I can smell that Elvis cologne from here ;)

I still can't find my cable. :excuseme: :banghead:

Of course we are still waiting for "Dean" Ehum, to show us some of the Baja photos. :busted: We are doing a little Spring cleaning around in the house so it might turn up. :notworthy:

Ok, here's a few more.... I guess I'll have to break down and tell my story of the ride......

We need to do this again soon. Maybe a Sat/Sun deal with a little of the night riding George was talking about. I haven't tried that yet but it sounds great! Thanks again to all for coming out and making it a great ride.

good leadership, good ride, good folks all around,,,,thanks Geo and Mike and all others on the radio com crew.

I for one am not a shutterbug, so there are only a few shots in my photobucket album, I think motopat has shown them all. Anyone else? R
