  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

my wre is not the same as yours for instance u have a power valve controlled by a electric motor mine is centrifugal no motor yours is cagiva mine is bmw very similar but different you should read the list of faults ive had listed in this post all true and very well looked after

your motor and the mechanical power valve actuation is the same as for more then 2 decades in the CR and WR

I only can guess the reason that earlier models had a motor actuated valve to keep it in a max power down so it would classify as a learners bike in some countries.

which the solved in the later WRE and SMS models with the CDI unit and the porting of the cylinder.

The units are also restricted on the carb.

Yer the bonnie is ace she is in show room condition as well .a classic dealer told me shes worth 10 grand she was left to me in a will a relitive left me ..1965 and still today will do 110 mph. I wish the huskys were better i like the power amazing for a 125 but when you have all the probs ive had with the brand its time to sell up and move on every bike brakes. Just the husky is unbeliverble

dude its got to be astrological or ancestral your 10x grandfather pissed off the god Thor or you were born when Pluto and Uranus were line alignment it was sumpin way freakin freaky

looks like you restoked your wood burning computer and back with your wit
pluto wasn't just aligned with uranus if you know what i mean and that did piss off thor, being a swedish city name and all :D

yer I see what you are saying but cagiva still designed the huskys there is more cagiva in it than husky just my thoghts , didont cagiva design the red and white huskys?? a proper husky is blue and white not full of cagiva electrics or ktm parts .so does that mean ajs a very old british company that made good bikes in the early days ,now that is now reincarnated by a Chinese company making rubbish bikes but still have the ajs name make them good ?

If you go back to the early huskys they had red ranks with the chrome and were real cool looking. This was well before the blue and white models that you speak of that were happening when the company was sold to the Italians.

Whats peoples opeinuns on husky? my thought are ther rubish junk as bad as a chinese bike ive had nothing but trouble and i bought mine new. Its broken down lots of times parts are very had to find. At the moment i need a kick start phoned husky sport and was told back order will take 6 months so i cant even kick start the engine ..honda yammy etc dont have troubles like this .bike is only 2yrs old husky rubis
h

Please list whatever your current bike is in your profile since you cannot be bothered to state that in your first post.

In addition, please spell things correctly (English or American, your pick) and type coherent sentences without using abbreviations i.e. I've no idea what a "rubis" is.

i think rubbish was what he was after

yeah but his spelling and grammar are a disaster at best, funny but being from the country that started the language you would think he could at least try
if you are gonna talk smack make it readable
so what bike was he bitching about anyway

don't gang up on him, i struggle with grammer an you put up with me... Dunno why.
Think it was a chinese 125 i think.
No im joking husqvarna 125 wxe or close to it and 4 other husky 125's

Gaza if your big end goes and you dont want to spend the earth pm me and box the engine up send it to me and i will do the work at cost. I.e. No labour.

thanks :D bit weird though that I thought today I wonder if I could just take engine out and send it to you and now you've put it :D, course I'd pay you labour! I'm hoping it goes for at least another few years yet as rod felt solid bar a little side movement but we'll see, seen some mitaka kits for the wr bike that might fit, still no issues with the piston either, Mot guy said my discs were a bit worn [they're not even 6 months old....] and my hadlight bulb, I put an xenon one in and he swapped it for another halogen one saying it could only go in one way round so my lights were ''kicking up to the offside'' or something. And that it had an oil leak... [it's pretty damn clean, the oil is because I dripped a can over the chain ten mins before I left for mot as only had three hours sleep and forgot

what a tragedy, how pointless was it picking up on spelling/grammar, sad really does'nt cover it, a motorbike branded forum reduced to mud slinging, instead of trying to change a disappointed and frustrated persons point of view he gets a troll............classy, real classy

this shows no respect to the forum. around here, thats about what you will get back if you have that kind of attitude. people are treated very courteously here, have you not been to other forums? many are much more "hard knock" style, where if you make an idiot statement, you will promptly be told you are an idiot.

Oh well...he is the forum owner, so I guess if he doesn't like something on his own website, he can address that issue if he wants.
