  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

mark1, You started a thread on a Husky forum built for Husky enthusiasts and you title it "husky junk" and state that you think they are rubbish without giving specifics. At first I thought you had problems with the English language but I immediately noticed you were from the UK. Seriously dude???

Now back to your bike problems, after all we are here to help. I think you should replace the muffler bearings, those wre 125s were bad about the bull gear jumping the heifer shaft which leads to all kinds of problems.

Oh well...he is the forum owner, so I guess if he doesn't like something on his own website, he can address that issue if he wants.

the comment made refered to Dean as well as my comment about grammar and use of the English language
he is from there you know

Pmsl muffler bearings lol its fixed and sold thank god

granted he did'nt exactly endear himself to all the people who own and love husqvarnas with his opening gambit, but to go down the mud slinging road was a wrong one, you don't win people over by attacking them

that was not an attack, it was simply stating how business is done here...for the most part. no one complains about a period or two but massive run on sentences, caps lock problems, or chronic spelling is annoying. respect is a two way street, regardless which side you drive on.

I think this guys mind was made up from the start . A bit of bad luck obviously - I've had 4 Italian 125s and never had any issues . Only a dodgy speedo - who cares .

He isn't trying to get advice just having a whinge right from the start.

I thought he was done already .
Enjoy your Yamaha. See ya.

Mark, did you ever think maybe every Husky you bought didn't like you?
I really like my bike and it likes me back.Bikes can feel the vibes of their rider and will be trouble if they know the rider doesn't appreciate them.
Maybe try a Japanese bike,I hear they work well.
