Get her a bike so you can play together.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I picked up a 4t beta about month and half ago. I was hooked on my husky 2t that I rode every chance I got. Light and nimble in trails I ride. Last 4t I had was years ago. Was little worked about weight difference at first but it feels very close. Handling is smooth as is delivery. It makes you feel like a better rider. Not sure if a good thing but she's yet to fail me. Only complaint is front tire feels squirrelly at times, might try change up soon. Also RR model is plate able in nj
I tried that then she got preggers! Jus cost me money. Tryin to talk her into a beta 300 so well have matching bikes when I get a 250!Get her a bike so you can play together.
Dunno. Mates reckon I'm a little naive jus cos the boy is half Asian?!who's the little rat bastard that knocker up? id make him buy my new bike![]()
Cool, congrats with the bike. I grew up in Barnegat and Waretown.Thanks. Have yet to adjust suspension cause it felt good as is, but was just at shop Friday to inquire about the 5.6 spring and he said same thing. I'm in long beach island area. About exit 69 off parkway.
while I have yet to ride a Beta I have had many bikes and I must say with a rubber submount and steering dampner my 2015 tc 250 feels very very nice... nothing sticks out bad in my mind in either high speed situations or low speed tight trails the bike is stable at speed predictable and you can trust the chassis. Since I crashed my Ducati this summer and my knee and thumb are still pretty screwed electric start may not be a bad feature LOL... Not ready for any kind of oil injection and a bit skeptical I guess and well...If you ain't mixing gas you ain't hauling as!! I would love to try one out when I get the chance!!
My random thoughts on the subject...
I rode the TE250 recently and have ridden the Beta many times as a friend has one (2015 300rr). I did not like the TE250 either, the motor seemed odd and weak, the rest of the bike was OK. The Beta I liked the motor a lot, it is slower handling and feels more planted but did not like the stock suspension settings much. I ride a 2015 KTM 300 W now and like it better than the Beta as the stock suspension is surprisingly way better for our riding. Beta owner agrees. Motor wise they feel very similar, both very good. Stock for stock I like the KTM300 the best of all of them, the Beta a close second and the TE a ways behind but it was a 250 not a 300. The Beta with a revalve would be as good or better then the KTM300 IMHO. All are good bikes for sure but have very different feels and advantages. The Beta is the smaller of the three for sure and probably better for smaller pilots.
You can remove the system all together or bypass it if you wish. The race edition doesn't even have it
Sorry to hear about the accident but welcome back! What Duc do you have?
