• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hows Huskys warranty ?

DTX915

Husqvarna
Pro Class
So after 38 days my stator quit with under 10 hrs on the bike a wr125. Dealer sent us a e-mail of Huskys warranty and its 30 days with parts only no labor.
He cannot test the CDI as its part of the coil on the 2013. He tells me a 2012 is two parts. They did send off to Husky to see if they would cover this.
Has anyone done this yet ? Like to think Husky would cover this. My dealer said this was the first fail they have seen in a stator.

Usually a warranty is only as good as your dealer. I would think under the circumstances you posted they would cover it. Not a part you are going to damage by riding it wrong or something. Lots of things in flux right now with the change of hands so who knows. Good luck.

HVNA is by far the most generous. as stated the dealer has a lot do with it. fingers crossed for ya. if there's any goodwill to come from anyone it's from Husky. amazing people that really care.

Right now I am getting a "NO". They will not back it. So if Husky will not this is my first and last Husky.

30 days is crap, no nice way to put it.

New bike comes with 12 months....

My 2010 TE 450 came with a 6 month warranty as delivered by the factory. The addition of the PowerUp kit automatically cut the warranty down to the 30 day competition warranty. I fought for weeks to get a faulty fuel pump covered, I finally fixed it myself, I have nothing good to say about Husky warranty program.

What part?
My 449 came with 30 days didn't matter if it was powered up or not, my Beta comes with 12 months.

Model Year 2013 - Motorcycle Warranty

All non-modified 599cc and under 4-stroke Enduro models come with a six-month/unlimited mileage warranty against manufacturing defects and workmanship that covers parts and labor. This includes the TE250 / 310 / 449 / 511 models.

All this talk about warranty got me curious. Apparently the TR650 warranty is forever? As long as an Authorised Husqvarna Dealer performs all the maintenance? I certainly cannot find any mileage or time restrictions.

But I am reasonably certain vehicle manufacturers have been taken to court about the 'dealers only' service requirement multiple times, and fairly sure they lost each time making that requirement null and void.

1) TR650 STRADA and TR 650 TERRA
models are designed for ROAD use, guaranteed free from faults, and covered by legal warranty provided that NO CHANGE IS MADE TO THE STANDARD SETTING and that the intervals specified in maintenance table of Appendix A are complied with.

In order to maintain the vehicle’s “Guar- antee of Functionality”, the client must follow the maintenance programme in- dicated in the user’s manual by carrying out maintenance inspections at author- ised HUSQVARNA dealers.

EDIT: I see, authorized Husqvarna dealers must do a "maintenance inspections"... so take used oil and filter to the local dealer and have them stamp the owners manual that the oil was changed?

OP bike is a 125 2 stroke.

I ride an '11 and both dealers told me to get lost after 30.

It should not be this way but it is all about your dealer and your relationship and how far he wants to go to help you out. My experiences have been very positive and I carry no real weight with husky USA but have a good relationship with my dealer.
