Bloody Melbourne!! Its stories like this that makes me wish we were more laid back with our gun policies lol. With the tracker I was looking into it however a few issues. 1. Not many places to put it that can be hidden on the bike 2. these days they are using GPS jammers when pinching the bikes and they take it and look over it rip it out the tracker so you no idea where its gone. The only benefit is insurance will be cheaper. Also maybe data dots could be a good idea???
Will let you know about the MAP 3.
Also how is your dealer Moto GC? I got mine from A1 motorcycles and have had nothing but trouble with them and looking for a new one for servicing and warranty work.[/quotI'll have to look into data dots?? It's funny cos technology is lacking here in regards to gps locators ( knew it'd b near impossible ). As for police, it's funny the bike l lost was half d value of my smr, I locked it in the front doors of melbournes GPO, even funnier I was serving our community on jury duty, we were on a break, I went to pay bills, the cc footage has me sighted all the way thru cbd, even has them behind me at door watchin me chain it an go bak to re check, they have their faces clear as day and the police know one of them and no ones been charged yet. I've never nor would I ever understand thieves, it's a lot of work, it's so unfair and more than that it's dangerous because had l caught them the cops probably would of had to shoot me ( and that would of been the extent of them excercisong lighter gun laws, haha.. I like tO think I'm over it, that my mighty smr has recovered me but who am I kidding, I'm still venting, sigh..
MOTOGC have been good but so far all I've done is make payments, I bought from the owner and so far he has answered all my questions, been there for me and even though I told him he has the wierdest sense of humor, he is straight ( I hope ). I know it sounds silly but my fingers are crossed l sail thru the 12 month warranty period without a hitch. I'd prefer a problem to b mine, see it's like the police or insurance, involving a third party who doesn't love it like me only brings me worry so here's to a fault free bike..
A1, you have the benefit of long trade, MOTOGC is only new but they seem very experienced, they have every husky available and more than that for me I had no choice in the matter, I waited an waited till no dealer oz wide had a black one, they had 2 to choose from. It goes in next week for pipe fitting and I'll nail out the first service then too, I'll know more after, they won't make me feel good for it but I will wait for it there, there's a huge glass window so my baby won't b out of my sight, I don't really have a choice I have to wait there.
I'll b sure to let u know ok also Iam hoping that they might just might b able to give map 3 from there workshop, they have like I said every husky so I'm thinking they should have a well stocked workshop, also they are going to continue to buy and sell huskies, see I'm aware a lot of places won't now they've been sold, they told me about the new 620smr to come out next year?? Never looked into it but if it's as hot as d KTM then I might trade up to it if I acquire the right skills.
Hey what warranty claim are you having to deal with, when I bought it I enquirer about say if I move to QLD will a dealer help me with if I need to claim, the answer was no but not impossible, my advice would b call them, ask for Glenn ( owner ) tell him your woes if you have some, sometimes it pay..
Went out again last night, can't describe the joys of this bike, I'm just under 1000 kms now, I swear every km is so much fun, am quickly finding this bikes rythm, not to a forgetful stage though. I love this bike cos it needs 100% of my attention so I'm riding better but still alert an on d ball.. I can't understand why our markets not flooded with super motards, there a joy to ride, soon mine wit me on it will b uncatchable/stoppable, it draws more attention than a Harley from all types of people, seems they r a hot item for thieves ( at least they have good taste ) and they are so tricky ie; they get around as easy as my STOLEN mountain bike, it beats me why I've seen more dr's than say aprillas or ktm's in d past, I know o/s there hot items but not here, this makes owning one a little more difficult..
Cheers mate, Thanx for yr posts, will let you know how I go next week with them touching my bike, lol.
