  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi-flow water pump

huskyte310

Husqvarna
AA Class
I installed the hi-flow water pump today. The impeller are much different. I believe it should make a big difference. I did not have a over heating problem but for 40 bucks what the hell. Now i can run it hard and not think about it running hot.

Let us know if you notice any difference please. I tried to buy one from Kelly but can't get a response from them, they responded once but won't reply anymore-I tried pm and email.

John, Glad we got this sorted out and shipped. Thanks for the biz.

2010 bikes

Read in a different thread (sorry can't recall where) that the 2010 TEs have the hi flo pump stock.

Is this true?

Thanks!

That's what I thought, but when I opened up my 2010 Te510, had the old school impeller.

Thats naughty, it is supposed to be stock on all the 2010 models. I fitted one to my 09 TE510. She does seem to hold onto the wet stuff for longer. I have Samco hoses and a 1.6bar cap (last of my SRC caps).

THey said the put an "upgraded water pump' on the 2010's they did not say they put the Husky Hardparts High Flow Water pump on the 2010s. I can see the assumption clearly-but am not overly suprised. I AM surprised that you can purchase the HI Flow WP for 40$ when Boysen Aftermarket WPs go for $100 simularily. SO I am pretty happy to do the upgrade!

I am just buying it cause its a cheap upgrade and I believe it is worth it. I have no reason to NEED it or look for "solutions". Figure I am making Great greater!

The only thing I did was replace the crossover tube with High Pressure fuel hose and replaced the plastic T for the Uptite Y. I run OFG Old Fat Guy Racing rad guards. Just standard" upgrades.

I don't see these on the Motosportz site.. do they still carry them? what's the advantage? guessing more water moving through the system?
