• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey 2 wheelers, you got 4 legged pals?

Yep, they must be, I have 6.
Not as big as your curr but the same passionate heart.
I'm going to have to get another dog soon to run with the Cur, my lab/retriever mix is getting old and stays on the porch a lot more lately. I'm afraid if I had 2 Cur dogs they would team up and kill everything in the county. A Fiest might be a good choice, they would likely stick with the smaller stuff and the Fiest could hang with her endurance wise. A friend of mine has a Fiest Jack Russel mix that is pretty cool.

Fiest have extremely long lives, I have two that are 18 and one that is 17. Any pups that we will have from now on will likely outlive me. They also come in many sizes from the same litter. Claras' brother Stonewall Jackson, weighs 26lbs while she is only 11lbs. Stonewall is a killing machine and cant be trusted to share the same yard with our chickens. The Mother, Carolina Crossfire is a champion squirrel treeing fiest who has sired another champion, Buster Brown. Stonewall and Clara still have some catching up to do, but they are young.
Get a Fiest and you will feel their love. George Washington (Fiest owner) would agree.

Foxy (GSP) and Velo (Vizsla).
Foxy's a self taught bird dog. She just had to learn some commands and hand signals. The rest came natural.
Velo, is a comedian. The most amenable dog I've ever owned. Completely velcro'd to me. I'll never own a different breed.
They go to the office with me on Friday's and soak up all the attention. I think it goes to their head a little.

Not sure if anyone still follows this thread but after looking at everyone's awesome pets had to post pic of jefe. I wanted big dog wife got her way and got this little guy. Fortunately for me he is the only westie/bischon that lives to swim. When he's not chillin in hammock he's picking crabs off sandbar in bay

"Harley" my Olde English Bulldogge' doing what he does best. Taking charge and standing guard.

The Pitbull "Crocker" is like "Harleys" rag doll or play toy. He has driven "Crocker" to brake a half dozen 5/16" cables. 1 about every 2 months. "Crocker" just got a new 3/8" cable last week. Should last about 6 months. His head will just reach his nose up to "Harleys" doggy door. No farther. It's like its "Harleys House" and I just live with him. He's always licking his chops when he is within reach of "Crocker".SAM_0889.JPG

And vise versa. They are the best of buddies

Had a customer give me a puppy a few weeks ago. Boxer/lab mix.

Took him with me to a trail ride/charity event today for the first time and he did great, other than wrapping himself around everything while I was out riding.

All tuckered out from playing with kids and other dogs.

My two American Bulldogs. Left with the eyebrow is the male and the freckled one on the right is the female. They are about 9 weeks now and talk about a hand full

An update of where my pups are now....

They will be 2 years old in May and they still act like puppies haha

This is Dodge

In the past two years he has cost me approx 2000 in vet bills from eating random objects...including an 1100 dollar surgery for eating the wife’s bra from the laundry basket haha he also loves chewing on my house from drywall to siding to wood trim. He’s a giant knucklehead but he’s truly mans best friend! He is about 105 lbs now.

And Maylene

She has cost me nothing at all besides getting fixed and is the sweetest girl ever! She’s greets me everyday after work when I get home like she hasn’t seen me in weeks haha she is about 75 lbs now

They seem to play way more rough than other breeds I’ve had but they don’t hurt each other. They both listen pretty well and are well mannered besides the male being hard headed as hell at times. All in all I couldn’t be happier with my pups as they’ve gotten older.

I got this a month or so ago. The previous owner used to enter competitive motorcycle events and switched to competitive dog events like the weave poles in the picture. Due to knee replacement surgery that did not go well at all I got this female German shepherd.
