• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey 2 wheelers, you got 4 legged pals?

This is Royal. He was abandoned by people that got evicted from the property behind us. He casually walked over and just moved in! He has since passed away but we were lucky to have him fir a couple years. Had many pets over the years but this guy was special. Had the personality of a dog. Ran to you when you got home. Would lookat you when you entered the room and nod his head. Never had a cat like this. To this day cant understand why anyone would abandon him.IMG_20161123_140757.jpg

It is hard to understand why someone would do that to a wonderful pet.

Here's Pia, pain in ass. She's a rescue and was 30 lbs under weight and heart worm positive when I picked her up from the humane society. From what I can tell she had no training and any interactions with people were not good. It's taken almost 3 years to become what I consider to be "normal" dog. She's good with most people and great with kids. I don't know if she will ever be fully socialized with other dogs, there's something in her background that I can't seem to help her with.IMG_20200820_190813979.jpg

My dog Pia passed away in her sleep awhile back and I still miss her. I felt very fortunate to have had her for 3 1/2 years and for all the love and joy she brought to family and friends. After some time I decided there was something missing so I went and rescued another, everybody needs a little chaos in their life. Now I have that with Adia, another dumb idea a$$hole.
