A Class
Good morning, Well I have already found this spot to a wealth of knowledge. My story is I picked up a txc 511 a few wks ago and outside of a few minute shake down ride my first real hours on this husky was/is this wknd. We headed out to Moab on thursday and rode 7 mile rim just to get the bikes checked out. No problems and my mates road the husky and was quite impressed.
My first thoughts were how responsive and how the low hung weight made the bike feel lighter than what it is.
Yesterday we put 70 miles of trails including Kane creek and this is where I really got a feel for the bike. which brings me to my questions.
The bike is a submarine! The airbox placement is awesome. I experienced the throttle sticking as so many have. It corrected itself about an hour after it started. I assumed prior to reading that the numerous high water crossings may had contributed but I guess not.
With the TXC not having a key...how do I do the TPS reset. I found tons of info on te/key reset procudures but nothing concrete for the txc. Im just gonna unplug the battery 10 mins and start without touching the throttle, let idle 5 mins and see. Again the problem corrected but I know Ive been "teaching" this thing bad habits. Is what IM doing a tps reset for the keyless bikes?
I dropped my oil to the bottom of the glass and stopped experiencing the "opec nation" blow by.
Gearing is too tall for my liking. Is the front sprocket proprietary to husky or will other more common brands work? No husky dealer in Moab but they have about everything else and I would like to drop down to 12-13?
Finally suspension. Big hits is great right with factory settings but on little chatter and rock its really harsh. I didnt find a ton of info here. Any suggestions? Thanks and sorry for the long post.
