  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I sent an email to them because of the problem with the (second) bike that i bought from them and NO answer.

Awful customer service.

What are your experiences with them? (if any)
Please share.

Frustrated...!!:banghead:

Why don't you just call them and get a quicker response? Did they say to contact them by email if you had any issues or questions?

What good would it be to know other's experiences.. not sure how that will assist you in solving your problem??

I bought mine from them

I would call them Monty or Paul

What kind of problem are you having.

Sorry to hear that but i agree. I have dealt with Paul before not a vey honest guy. Thats why i went orange. Huskies are good bikes but no dealer support and some of my riding buddies had issues there too. Good Luck

heinen's has a pretty bad rep, if it wasn't for their pricing, i doubt they would have business.

i bought my bike from them back in april, sad to say my warranty which is a joke in the US anyways that they only offer a 6 month warranty on a 8 grand bike, is ran out and just 2 weeks ago my transmission on my smr510 took a dump...

long story short, i ve had issues with my bike since day 1, and should have followed the advice from some friends and returned it as a lemon... didnt want to do that and waited a month for a shop in SC to fix the bike up, after i got it back, it still ran like crap, leaked oil out of every possible location, and am currently on a complete tear down mission of the bike to assess the damage done, i would never recommend heinens as a dealer, they are quick in taking your money, and perform little to no testing before a bike is shipped out, which is sad that they handle 1200+ mile transactions like that.

anyways, my experience with them is awful and i would try to get your money back and go for a local dealer, pay the extra money, but get better service and easier access to help.

my 2 cents

How far from you are they. if its not too far just front up to them explain your issues and get them to agree a course of action.
Failing that, a phone call is the next best approach. They have to hear you out and indicate what can be done.
Best trick is to be polite but insistant.

Call them. Their a little behind on the email technology.

Man I hate negatively naming dealers on a public forum.

I dont like naming poor dealers either but when we spent our hard earned money we should just get treated fairly. When a dealer is dishonest to its customers word will get out. If it was you and your friends getting the run around you may feel that way too. Spending thousands of $ should buy a little bit more than a bike. Paul may be a great guy but maybe people should shop elsewhere. After all isnt husky in the business of selling motorcycles?

For those of you that live close to this dealer, you have a way better option and technical help at Keytime Motorsports in Warens WI.
Craig, Becky and Steve have helped many people that purchased bikes at this dealer. They race weekly and evaluate the issues with the stock Husky's then modify them to work better than stock. Their phone # is 608-378-4290 http://keytimemotorsports.com
Just sayin...

I have posted my feeling about Heinen's in the past here. I will never buy anything from these guys! I won't get into it, but dishonest is a light term for these guys.

If Husky wants the brand to grow they need to stop selling them new bikes and more importantly stop dumping close outs on these guys. There's a reason KTM has better resale than husky, it has to do with dumping bike here and the straight shot to e bay. E commerce 101 tells you that!

I have bought 2 bikes from them in the past do to price and them being the closest dealer. That being said if it weren't for dealers like Hall's to get parts and support from the first Husky would have been the last. I don't understand how they are allowed to be a dealer and offer no parts or any knowledge of the product.

so what is the problem with your bike and did you get it corrected?

Sounds like alot of people have had issues. Someone should talk to Husqvarna Corp. These things just negatively affect the motorcyclist and the sport. I dont get it, when you lie, cheat, and steal your customers it will get out. If you do any business at Heinens buyer beware.

Heinen's needs to go away, and we need a new dealer in this town who will actually be nice to there customers. These guys should be listed on RIP OFF REPORT and if the BBB actually meant anything anymore they need to be reported there too!

Heinen's said my leaking oil filler cap wasn't really oil from the cap
leaking, instead they claimed it was an overly oiled air filter which they oiled, or didn't check when I bought it from them a couple months prior.

When I got the bike back from them after missing out on 5 weeks of summer riding time, they had deflated my front tire to 6psi and routed the HIGH PRESSURE RETURN FUEL LINE so it was TOUCHING THE EXHAUST, they also broke my right fairing and it came flying off on the freeway on my way home.

I thought I caught a nail or a leak in my front tire, but it has been 6 months since adding air after I picked up my bike, and it's still holding full pressure!! SO I am convinced they purposely tried causing an accident. My fuel line was smoking on my ride back home, luckily I noticed at a stop light, otherwise it could have been fatal as it was so close to melting all the way through.

The fuel line that was pressed up against the exhaust was the return side after the fuel rail, so had it burst it would have been spraying all over my rear tire and the bike still would have ran, and gasoline on rubber is very slippery!

NEEDLESS TO SAY, I was pissed at them, and I'm not surprised I am not the only one complaining!!

Heinen's claimed the warped front rotor is normal due to the bike having
touchy brakes, which when checked with a dial indicator it showed it being
warped, no help there from either Heinens or Husqvarna!

Heinen's said that during diagnosing the bike, it started running better,
and that because nothing was found during the diagnosis, a labor charge
was added to my invoice. They also claimed that they installed a chip into
my bike when they removed the o2 sensor (without my approval).

YES, Heinen's pulled my o2 sensor without asking me, and apparently installed
the power up kit with a stock muffler and stock intake, and when I talked to
somebody at BMW group/Husqvarna that voids the factory warranty when you take out the
o2 sensor and plug in the chip.

It was implied that when dropping the bike off for warranty work, I asked
that I would recieve a phone call if they were going to do any work that
they would bill me for, and they totally disregarded that.

Original problem was the fuel filter had seperated causing a loss of
fuel pressure causing the bike to run lean, and then eventually failing
to run at all when the leak got larger.

When first removing the fuel pump assembly and noticing the filter was broken,
there was also a problem with the zip tie that held the pump down, the zip tie
had came loose and the pump could move freely inside the assembly.

There was 2 screws holding the fuel level sensor on the pump assembly, only one
screw was holding this, and the other screw had came loose and was laying in the
bottom of my gas tank.

That dealer needs to be gone. I understand that a person can make a mistake but this dealer needs to realize word of mouth is the best or worst way to get a rep and once you get a bad rep it very hard to change. I would not buy a bike there no matter the price.

I guess I'm gonna be the only guy to take up for Heinen's . I bought a new leftover 2010 510smr from them almost a year ago and couldnt be happier with them. I was kindda nervous bout buying a bike 100's of miles away without ever even seeing a husky in real life or even the one I was buying "I live in Arkansas" . My bike has over 4000 miles on it and I did the power up mods myself and always do the wrenchin on all my toys anyway but my bike screams and have had no problems with it except couple tank bolts spinnin but thats probby my fualt from over tighting them. My display got fogged up I think cause I spilt gas on it and they sent me a new one. I couldnt be happier with my bike or there customer service so far and the price was a huge plus cause I couldnt find one anywhere even close to the price I paid for it.
I have even been tryin to sell my polaris rzr just so I could buy another 2010 510smr leftover cause they still got some and for $6200 for that kindda quality bike is unreal. I personally dont like the 2011 smr's at all and would love to have another 2010 as a spare before there all gone. I have owned bout every make honda, yamaha, kawasaki and such this is my first husky and it is a top notch quality bike nodoubt.

Here's the deal, you can buy a bike from them, and have good luck with it, and then you'll never need there service... However when I think back on the whole purchase, Monte didn't seem to care for his job at all, and he really needs to get off his high horse... He has that mentality that rookie police officers have... too cool for their own good. Heinen's was good when they started but since it's been passed down the family line, nobody try's anymore, they'll ride it out a couple more years, and then go out of business... boy that day will be tough for those guys who have never worked a hard day in there life it seems! It'd be nice to have another dealer to go to, since I have ordered everything from Halls since my experience with Hiendingers went south...

Sorry to bring up an old thread but just wanted to add...

Horrible customer service from the owner Paul Heinen. Did not fulfill agreement. Customer service after the sale on my shipped motorcycle was terrible. Was shortchanged and the aggravation of working with these people is very high. Terrible communication. Would never buy anything from them again.
