Engine is very good and can lug down well, but you will need to be ready to shift down or clutch it when you need to and that's more than a 250, but less than a 125. It has great top end, better than my 200 did. It think a few mods like the other guys have done (carb, head, pipe) and it will be even better.Need more info on this bike.....engine brakes etc....
Brakes.... Not quite Brembo, but actually not bad for me. More progressive, so less touchy in low traction situations. A faster guy might like the Brembo brakes better.
What l've seen of your posts in the past.... You might be happiest with a TC125, with a 150 kit installed from new. I rode a '16 150SX totally stock in the woods and it was quite good.
