• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Decal Works

Husqvarna
A Class
Got my new decal Works (decalmx.com) full kit today. Awesome! They are one of the few companies I see that have very cool, Husky specific kits. The online color selection program they have lets you select countless color combinations and shows it on a model bike instantly so you know exactly what your getting and how it looks before you buy it.
Highly recommended.
Arrives very protected and flat, not like my factory ordered kit. That one was bent and curled up on the ends and doesn't even fit properly. Most of the good ones in the Special order catalog are no longer available from Husky I have found out.

Just a good option to check out. I'm happy.

Application. Dry or windex way?

Filled an old windex bottle with warm water and also used a hair dryer to soften up the decals a little before placing them on the plastic. New plastics which I cleaned with a good contact cleaner from Moose-safe for plastics, and then a light mist of water on the plastic before laying the graphics on and squeejee-ing out the air bubbles.

I made the mistake of buying a factory decal kit a couple years ago. No good.

I used one of their templates to make this too. Good quality stuff and it was spot on with the design I provided. I read up on applying graphics and they say to stay away from Windex (even though that's what everyone does) because it weakens the adhesive. I used a spray bottle with water and a little baby shampoo for a wet application and it was pretty easy. A blow dryer definitely helps to get into all the corners and work the water out once a piece is in the right place. I ended up making a few extra slices to get it perfect, like the horizontal chop I made at the end of the radiator guard on the left. I added individual stickers where you see logos (with the exception of all the Solo Moto logos that were produced with the graphics). I'm pretty happy with the result.

Got mine the other day for my 2009 TE310. Not Crazy about the fitment, they were a bit off. Also they sent the wrong headlight graphic. I sent them a picture and they told be I must have put a new headlight on or had a European version????? I sad no and then after a couple of day they figured it out. They should be in early next week, I will post up some pics when done.

Does anyone know if the yz blue is a good match for the blue on a 2006 te 510. Was also thinking rm yellow and wondering if the dark grey matched the factory tank?

Just put these on tonight. The picture quality is a littl fuzzy. And, yes, I know the bike is dirty. Went riding Sunday and haven't had the chance to wash it up.
