As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I think my front wheel did about a 3rd of the trail, that bike wheelies everywhere
What was that noise at :48?
Sounded like a rabid chicken![]()
Hey Brandon, when are you going to let me turn you into one of the 165 crowd of smiling, giggling, NW Riders?I actually noticed that and figured it was Jake hiding in the tree. Place looks killer and I'm game for next year
Hey Brandon, when are you going to let me turn you into one of the 165 crowd of smiling, giggling, NW Riders?
How long do these 125 top ends last? I got about 40hrs on my original stuff and bike still feels strong as new.
Mine has 66.3 easy hours on it and still feels great.
I am shooting for 100...
Later,
66.3 easy hours??? Is this the same bike you post all your WFO riding vids with, or do you have a second 125 I don't know about that you ride to the mailbox and back?
And I assume you've re-ringed it?
That always cracks me up when I look at a bike on Craigs. The bike is described as being sooo good and there is a paddle leaned against a tree next to it and there are still numbers on the plates.
Ridden by old lady, never off road, never raced, never seen sand. Comes with paddle tire, flag and AMA number plates.
I "Re-ringed" it after I blew it up at 36 hours, I put Shane's OEM 125 cylinder, piston and ring on it. They had about 10 hours on them so I guess that makes about 75 hours on this piston/ring. I have 102.3 easy hours on the bike now.
Later,
Adam said u guys were gonna dual sport it up.... Was that what ended up happening?
Looks like your weather was great!!! I hear the devils head had BUCKETS of rain coming down, and trails were miserable.. That makes me even more dissapointed I didn't go... I love a good ass-kicking.
Blake, sweet videos! After watching them I can officially say I am no longer contemplating picking up a WR125, I will be getting one and building a 165! Secondly, I need to plan a riding trip in the PNW, it looks like a phenomenal place to ride!!
