• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Blakelpd5's Riding report videos thread

Actually got to do a little ride last Sunday. Here are a couple of clips. First climbing out of the bottom the 165 hauls my fat ass up the hill.
Then here is a short clip of what it is like for so much of our riding anymore.

Blake, Brandon and I (all 165s with Lectron's) plus buddy Ken on a KTM 350 just got back from and epic ride. More pix and vid to come but...

What else can I do??? I can bitch about it... Ya, that's what I'll do... Get ready to have your texts blown up by me bitching again....

Bummer Blake, any idea why? Did it kick over normally?

He tried climbing a hill we should not have been attempting. Did not make it, bump started it on the way back down and it happened. Made a clickity clickity sound when running. I watch the vid a few times to try and see what happened. I;m guessing flaw or dumb luck.

Hope you're riding it again soon and it doesn't do to much damage to the wallet. It's probably because you goons keep beating those poor little bikes up ;)

Too bad on your bike ... Probably just one of those things that happen that is out of our hands ...
The latest of my Drama..... I'll take bike drama over people drama anyday...
I'm a bump-starter from way, way-back ... Its the default behavior of a bike ... It's like I was born to bump-start ... Hope to bump-start my bike today ...

PNW certainly has breathtaking scenery ...
