• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Blakelpd5's Riding report videos thread

Yeah I'm really considering it. I'll have to look some stuff up because in the 2 stroke forum I'm easily lost. No idea what people are talking about with certain parts lol.

Thanks for the advice! Means a lot considering you 2 also have big bore 4 strokes.

Had a great ride today. General consensus was 56-59 miles... One guy with a stock tank had to get fuel from the group twice. I made it back on my oversized IMS tank, but BARELY....

I need a lectron for the mpg!!!

Wonder how long it would take for the gas savings to pay for the lectron? I've gotta talk myself into one somehow...

At ~$300.00 per CARB ... You gotta save ~86 GALs of fuel at ~$3.50 per GAL of fuel ... 425 GAL(burned) * .20 (20% fuel savings) = 85 GAL saved... You could also subtract the selling price of the old CARB here also ...

And the sooner you buy the CARB and start the saving, the sooner you burn the needed gas volume to save the $$ amount ... I could save\burn that much fuel in under a yr if I stuck to the 2t machine for most of my riding ... The WR250 is very cool but so are the TC250s and hard to stay off of ...

EDIT: And look at this purchase as a hedge against higher gas prices ... IF\As the price of gas goes up, the CARB will save more per ride ... Gas prices normally rise in the summer months when demand goes up and we are riding bikes ...

Blake, when you sent that picture to my cell phone i had no idea WTF that was. I almost wanted to replay "is your wife OK?" he he he. I filled my 3.6 gallon tank about 3/4 of a gallon shy of full as i don't like to pack extra gas. Did the same loop Blake did and still have a good 1/2 gallon or more left. My bike is good for 90 miles of technical off road, pretty stoked about that. That is the one thing these 125's have always frustrated me is lack of range. With the Lectron and 3.6 gallon tank I am good for any day we might do.

BTW that was a really fun ride. Will post some vid soon.

Got the boys out today for a little seat time. Caden is 7, and Kyson just turned 4. They both did great!

Caden was digging in this pic so he could get to his shifter to put it in neutral. Kyson was stopping to ask brother if he needed help.

This looks like some very good training in the right location also ...

It is a great place... Caden saw me do both of those obsitcals, and next time I was following him around, I saw him trying them as well. It's a modest 5 acre parcel that is flat on one side, and some slight elevation changes on the other. Perfect for the 3 of us. I have to stay on the ttr-125 though, or my dad would be disappointed at the berms I'd be blowing in. Only 15 min from my house is a HUGE plus.

My New Pimp-Ass Ride... Audi R8. This thing sounds like a straight up race car when I started it. I might have pee'd myself a bit...

I kid, I kid... I even took my shoes off when moving it so I didn't get my poor man's dirt in his sick F-ing ride... I'm re-doing their garage floor, and they are in Mexico, so he said, sure, go ahead and move them as you need... I almost moved it to my house, but figured he has sensors tracking every RPM...

I also moved his wife Mercedes SUV, and his SICK as a MO-FO 4dr Bentley... Today was a good day!

Clutches are solid on these bikes. I have an 04 with a 165 kit and I'm sure the clutch is still stock Ajax from this site has three years of racing and stock clutch.

That kinda does look like me, but my chest hair is more sporadic...

I need to get the China Hat ISDE vid together!
