As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I have been trying to find a 610 stand to mod... no luck might need to find someone handy to make me a stand
Hi KennethSorry guys, and gals, but no more stands. No plans to make any more, but as mentioned before, you can modify a stock steel 610 stand to work just fine. Look at my original thread for how to do it.
Any chance of some measurements of your stand Ken?
From the bolt hole to the foot[2] and kick out [1].

Bumpity if anyone can help me out
Workshop setup and am ready to go
OK hope this helps. The finished length of the tube is 14" from the bolt hole to the longest part of the stand. It is cut on a compound angle so suggest you leave it a little long and scribe to the floor to fit. I put a 3" diameter pad on the bottom. There is a 20 degree angle between the lug and the tube. Are you using the steel 610 stand for starters? If so, sawcut about halfway or more thru the tube right at the lug and bend to get it right, like I did, then weld it up. The stand should line up nicely with the swing arm when up, and project 8" from the footpeg pivot pin to the center of the tube at the bottom, and should be 1.25" forward of the center of the peg pin. This is as viewed from the top looking straight down. Be sure to double up the tube at the top for strength, or I think it will break. My prototype is going strong after thousands of miles on a fully loaded bike.
