• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Has anyone tried the GPI racing aluminum radiators on ebay? I could use a pair for my 400. Looks like they are made in china.

they are made in china for sure. some people have reported sloppy welds, many have reported good durability. i like their hoses but have yet to try the rads.

When i got them for the 510, buying left and right separate was way cheaper than a pair.
5 days to Canada for me

What were the import fees and duty taxes? Economy shipping (which I would imagine is the free shipping)shows 2 weeks to a month.

No extra charges and eco shipping was all i went for.
I have bought from them 4 separate times, got rads for a bud once too and all arrived in a week

How long to ship from china? I've never bought outside the US

I buy tons of crap from china (some of it is crap, too... others: pretty good) and here's my delivery time rule of thumb: under 10 days, fantastic; 12 days, good; 15 days: eh, not bad; 25 days, must've been opened in customs; refund or resend if it's much longer.

If you're used to Amazon delivery, then it'll suck big time. OTOH, if you were a kid in the '60s where ALL delivery dates were "6-8 weeks" (...and 2 boxtops!) it'll seem like a minor miracle.

No added charges or taxes. Stuff from Hong Kong seems to take a bit longer than mainland China- maybe. I've been getting stuff for about 8 years from China now, with a very good delivery rate; very few items are lost. And I never used any other shipping besides "standard". BTW, if tracking is offered, more than likely it's bs, so do not believe it. And don't believe the ebay delivery dates, they're pessimistic by the sellers so they don't get dinged for late deliveries. Most places get an order out the door the next business day.

Have bought Chinese rads into Australia with no delivery problems.
The rads were well made but the mounts were a bit light.
At the price they were good value.

Does anyone know of a good substitute for that screen (item #1) that goes on front of the radiators but behind the splash shields (item 6) below?
