• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

AJP in the house...

there is one thing we are all not thinking about what if all this HP we want[ but mite not really need] upsets that wonderful chassis:eek:

Thats a valid point. The PR5 has a very good motor for trails as is. 3-5 more HP would make it a great race bike.

am i right in assuming that the PR3/4 use a fuel pump:eek: that might not be good pleez tell me im wroog :)

Yes they all have fuel pumps and it is no big deal. The PR3 and 4 have very simple crazy reliable vacuum pumps as no real pressure is needed.

hows the big bore muffler insert workin what about your muffler?

installed but not ridden it yet. Doubt it will be a drastic increase. My muffler fit real good but was afraid it would rub the tire. The stock muffler is a very good light weight design so really no need to add another one.

Wouldn't make much sense to do mods to the bike if you plan on making a demo out of it anyway right? You want potential customers to appreciate it for what it is stock and without the perceived need to throw a bunch of money at it right away to make it "right".;)

yes thats true but that end cap on Kellys dats purddyblingy:thumbsup: i like it i like it alot Kellys got a nice can:love:

Correct. All I have done is install the provided performance insert. The beauty of this bike really is that you can toss some hand guards on it and go ride. Excellent skid plate and the bike flat works right out of the crate. But, as we all know modifying our rides is part of the fun. I also want to see how far I can take this package at some point as the starting point is already several levels higher than I anticipated and see this bike fast becoming my go to bike for woods riding.

AJP needs to become 50 state legal. Surly they will in '15 or '16, or I might have to go with the new kick ass Beta 300 2t, and I am a 4t guy. :banghead:

I hear ya and understand. In VA northern "Virginians" government sponges I mean workers by the thousands control what goes on here :(. I wish DC would annex all of northern VA!
