• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

...After the rumors...is this the new project for a TE650?

My dealer said the Husky rep he orders from told him there are no 2012 and they are simply clearing out inventory. What is interesting though is i notice the decals are different on the "2012" than mine. Whats with the BIG 630 on the side covers?

Dropping $2500 off your MSRP will do that. Try and find a 2011.

If it's still available as a 2012 Euro model, apparently they're getting bold new graphics.:D

Looks like they are really trying to clear inventory. Curious to see what the "new" 650 will be like. I loved my '03 F650GS Dakar (other than it being heavy compared to the 610/630).

Husky does not need to make a DRZ competitor. It will alienate rather than support the other models. Its like a Porsche Boxter, It tells the world you cant afford a 911. Keep to the top end husky.

As a Boxster owner who can afford a 911, the choice had nothing to do with finances. A properly set up Boxster can post faster lap times than a 911.

If it comes in at the 7K mark like rumored I might have to have one. Would make a great light weight adventure bike and have good enough street manners i could sell my FZ1 and live a little longer.

Honestly speaking this bike looks not suitable for off road (also single-tracks)...the fork is absolutely made for street only. Two years ago I'd buy it for my scope of riding(going everywere there's a track), but since I ride the 630 I wouldn't spend approx 7.000€ for these kind of stuff (useless for my scope).
I'm going to build a new tank for my TE (same shape of original plastics but bigger) and, when finished, this could become the best dual bike ever.

I really love my bike, but Husky's marketing is actually the worst in the market. They are changing models, prices and focus area on a daily basis. Models are in some case replaced after two years, in other not upgraded for almost a century.
Actually there's no official or unofficial Huskvarna clubs in Europe, no costumer's forum in the official website, the facebook page is not updated(only nuda's advertising), the support in case of technical troubles is awful.

Now they are replacing a real dual sport with a....I don't know what, really I don't know.

Matching German reliability with Italian style and passion could be a great idea; matching italian reliability with german style...

Ciao duca, piacere!

What you guys think about KTM 690?

The time for bikes like Husky 610 had never started. In Italy the husky 610 is the classic bike of the young stupid boy, there are no forums, no clubs. This is the reason why I'm writing here... I'm very surprised of this forum (such as ADV rider)! I'm glad that in the world (for certein not in Italy) there are persons that understands the real dual purpose power of the 610-630. But we are in the minority... Husqvarna knows this!

-----> ENJOY your 610-630!!!

The Strada appears more an urban assault ride than a lightweight adventure bike. While I could see one of these in the garage I don't think it is a TE610 replacement.

Ciao Masto, benvenuto nel forum.

Yes, I noticed the same during my research....no Husky forums in Europe. It's seems the real dual purpose of Husky TE 610-630 is really understood only in the USA, Canada, Australia and SA.

I personally tried to contact the Husqvarna marketing people to convince them to start a club, an European forum or something like this (as orange bikes have) but no reply...

The aftersales marketing is something unknown in Husqvarna..anyhow, we do have this forum, full of clever guys, and this is enough.

I was considering the KTM 690 when I had to choose the bike, but it doesn't tell me anything of emotional, while I loved the 630 from the first moment.

Let's open an european branch of Cafè Husky...

Let's open an european branch of Cafè Husky...

Forgive me but it's to long for my English:

Ciao!

E' pieno di questi pazzi furiosi come me.
