• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I sure as hell hope not. That thing is FUGLY. No... it's beyond FUGLY. There is NO word in any language to adequately describe how F'ing Ugly that "thing" is.

As a 630 replacement.......no

As a cool "other", "retro" bike.....I like it! Think scrambler!

The non concept bike will look more real world, less funky and probably cool. :excuseme:

I really like the look. Not sure about the front fender or the LED headlight/numberplate, but I'm groovin' on the retro rest of it.

Hate it. Hope it is not the replacement. I'd much rather see a husky version of this bike as the 630 replacement...

The new model is the street version of the new 650, much like the 630 has the SM and the TE.

I will withhold judgement until I see the more dirt-oriented version.
In the meantime, we will be taking very good care of our 610's :)

I'll hold off "final" judgment but already stating it's about 375lbs.... The movie preview to me doesn't look so hot. :p I will say, they will probably make it look cool and I do like how HuskyBM is doing that. Time will certainly tell but in the mean time...... I'll be "taking very GOOD care" of my 630! :D

Rumor is it is supposed to be in the sub 7K range and is aimed at the huge DRZ650 type market / customer. In that regard i would think it would do quite well.

If that's the direction Husqvarna (BMW) is heading, my next bike will be orange.

..you got it!

this is exactely the bike they'll produce. It isn't a TE630 replacement, as it will be the Nuda's little sister. I's named as "Strada" (Street, obviously) and it's in the pipeline to be in the market on middle 2012.
It's basically a BMW G650Xchallenge(some details are from Xchallenge and not from Xmoto) with new cloths and crossover tyres (something like michelin anakee, stuff liked by BMW twin fat drivers). Only the frame's upper portion seems a litte bit different to me. Fortunately, it seems tank is in the usual place and not under your...
They are speaking about 170kg and more HP than BMW G serie.

For sure BMW invested a lot of time and money in design, manufacture and test the G serie, and now (after the bad sales results) they want to propose the same stuff with a different design.

Next step could be TE900 and SMS1200 with boxer, ESA, ABS and coffe machine, 275 kg...

Husky does not need to make a DRZ competitor. It will alienate rather than support the other models. Its like a Porsche Boxter, It tells the world you cant afford a 911. Keep to the top end husky.

The TE 630 is no longer on the Husky M/C website. I also noticed the 2012 TE 511 is quite a bit more expensive than last years. Hmmm.
