Anyone try the new VP 94 Octane Small Engine Gas? Pricey, but 10% Ethanol Gasoline is tougher to jet for than old MTBE gas.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

MOTORHEAD;86517 said:The PWM is the one you can change all the jetting without removing. PWK you have to pull the carb bowl to get to the pilot.

I want it with the JD needles and maybe a power one insert too. Anyone got a phonenumber for me? It needs to be delivered to Sweden too! A PWK 38 Airstriker it will be!
letitsnow;86272 said:With the PWK on my WR250, I now practice things like not using the clutch on singletrack. While this might sound weird, it saves me time during a race because my bike will pull cleanly from barely above 0 rpms up to max rpms (no need for the stinkin 4 stroke!).
Motosportz;86713 said:We ship international all the time if you want one. Might check a local dealer first though as the PWK should not be real uncommon.
Johnnymannen;86773 said:Yes, i guess there is no problem to find the carb here, but the price for a new from you is about the same as the price for a used one here, and i want it with the JD kit in it. What´s the price incl. delivery to Sweden from you?

Motosportz;86777 said:$235 for the carb with JD jetting stuff (two extra jets of both the main and pilot and 2 needles) and about $25 in shipping. Also figure whatever tax and customs on your end of which I have no idea what they hit you with there.

dfeckel;86826 said:Thanks! That probably just sealed the deal for me to buy the Motosportz package instead of trying to rejet a cheapie used PWK that is available locally. It has a 5.5 slide, and the slides aren't exactly cheap. Turns out to be very close pricewise--might as well get a new carb and help a Husky brother at the same time.
