• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A day in the life of: www.hva-factory.com

Just got back from Muhlen (Austria) where we have been riding a Twinshock Enduro. I will catch up with orders from the website first thing tomorrow. Apologies to those who have had a short wait for their orders to be dispatched, but the trip also involved collecting some new parts too!!!

Back for a while now with our next race - Farleigh Castle - 'King of the Castle' Twinshock Motocross 2nd weekend of next month (I think)...

Andy Elliott.

The 300's are always good! To be honest, it did feel a bit rich, but the altitude and temperature in Muhlen meant I should have gone leaner on the main and needle than I did.

Ended up 4th in class which was a little dissapointing! I got caught napping as I did not realise until too late that there were a few fast guys - but they had riding numbers away from mine - so I had no one near me on the pace... My fault though!

Beat my best HVA-F team rider - because he fell off!!! - Did I laugh****************************************

Farleigh Castle (King of the Castle) in a few weeks - so I better brush up on my Motocross skills!

Andy.

You must mean the NEW HVA-Factory office wall, as I am moving into a bigger unit 3 doors down. All help with the move gratefully received****************************************

It will give me 3 times the space for all the new stock coming....

Andy.

that's a ball tearer of a pic for sure.

trip to England looking like it may happen. might get to see the shop! (I ll probably go to the old one...)

Yep! Not bad for an old git with one hip and a missing finger!!! ( just been told the pic is in Trials and Motocross News too - but I hav'nt got that yet ).

We have nearly finished moving into the new unit at Husky towers. I will post a pic when I get to sit at my desk at work next week.

The new unit is very close to the old one - so no real change of address except we are now in unit number 8 not 5.

Glad it is nearly done as I am feeling worn out! Thanks for all the offers of help.

Andy.

Oh - forgot to say;

Looking forward to going to the launch of the new 2016 Husky bikes tomorrow - here in Devon!

Definitely living the dream!

Andy.

Congratulations Team HVA UK , only a few weeks before we have our Conondale Classic in QLD Australia , we can only hope for some of your stella performances out here,
again Andy , well done

Scott
