• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A day in the life of: www.hva-factory.com

I'm been trying to buy some ITC shock springs for my XC500 HVA 1983 mod. I weight about 110kgs with my riding gear on ,do you have anything?

there is a bloke in aus here getting a run of 40mm springs made to suit some emulators he has.

Hi Andy, Emailed few guys in the USA over the last few weeks they all say the same Sweden isn't making yellow springs anymore. Hope they are wrong.

I was told they were on 'back order' . Hope that is the case but uk Ohlins guys said 'now unavailable'

I suppose it might depend on how big an order people/traders are willing to place ?

I have one set of uprated 8.5s and another of the 9s. Worst case scenario is to get them copied at an independent spring company

The 9mm springs are probably perfect for 110kg

May try asking the guy at ohlins if they have any used springs in the back ? When they did mine he changed the spring for me just because my old one had paint chipping . Might not hurt to ask.

Instead of receiving a free tee shirt if you spend over £300 in our webshop - you will now be able to have one of our special CNC machined Corkscrews instead if you wish!!!

Just let us know in the order comments box - until we get the webpage adjusted to give this option. Hope you like them!
