    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Hi thanks for the comments. Just a shop bought pipe guard. It was a old red alum one my brother had and did'nt like so i did the oven cleaner trick and stipped it back clean and is held on with 4 hose clamps. Vinduro sticker were made by a sign writer. Had enduro ones aswell but the vinduro suited the bike better.

Hi Mike , Just another E-bay purchase , guy had it on a 400 xc , it's made of plastic about 2mm thick looks ok and might stop a few bumps and bruises. Could be acerbis not to sure.

Hi Adam 6402, It will be a rider but not to much, just finished her off after about 12 mths of finding all the parts . It is made up from about 15-20 different bikes from all over the world mainly USA , lots of nos and a little reproduction stuff. Fired her up last night , took 20-25 kicks but she finally came to life, just needs a little fine tuning .

Is the engine a 240cc? Is the WR the only 240 model? CR240? Its very nice and would be very rare in my part of the world.

I was really surprised how well my 86 WR400 works. Fun bike and can keep up with the new iron if you want to.

Hi Daniel, yes is was a 240 wr but the original bore was seized and part of the sleeve had broken out between the exhaust ports and caused major damage so i had to find another and a 250wrx 85 barrel and piston was available still on original ring.Big end bearing was also shoot so i found a crank and rod that had had the bearing already replaced .Not to sure about the cr's.
