  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Count me in :-) Had a shit weekend racing (see pix) and not the right gearing so on every lap the bike was revving out in top gear and all I could think was poor TL getting a flogging inside the motor!image.jpg

I have never had an overheat issue on my TE but ride in the NW where 85 is a hot day :>)

Yesterdays 63 mile mudfest. I think I think I have someone of a higher power looking over my 511 :D (note rainbow)

Why are your brush guards sooo big ? I have never seen them that big, seems like they would deflect off a fern . :)

Keeps your hands from getting soaked and keeps your grips and levers mud free. Run them on my 165 as well. Only run them when it is cold and wet outside. Quick on and off, work great. They are a floppy material so will deform when they need to.

Oregon, Washington and Idaho are littered with awesome trail. My buddies keep trying to get me to go ride Baja and I always have a hard time figuring out why when there are thousands of miles of epic trail hours from my house. So yeah, there is some good trail to be had around here...

Just passing time while waiting for my breather to be done. :D
Real nice!!! While your waiting dig me up some info on a gripper seat cover for the 449. I cant find anything besides Seat Concepts. They are really nice but I just want a super grippy cover. Any ideas?
I might have to visit you some day. Do you do guided tours?! Nice pics!
