• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250 2 stroke KTM freeride...

I hate to say it, but the size of that bike alone makes it look like a sweet machine to me... I really, really, really wanna ride that thing...

for a lot of the squirrel trail stuff we do it would be a hoot. Just not sure it would be any better of more fun than our 165's.

Listed as 36.02 inches

about 10 inches of travel

About 209 pounds

About 22 HP I think but torque is good.
I'm assuming they are much less maintenance. I picture the 350 version as something to stomp out the WR250R and DRZ. Or better yet, Supermoto versions. It's a KTM and it'd cost way more then those bikes but it may do really well anyway. They seem to have the same power but would be a lot lighter even being street legal. There I go dreaming again :)

This is pretty much the only KTM I would want at this point. I'd love to have a trials/enduro hybrid. Mainly for the low seat height. One reason I'm leaning towards getting a Beta 250rr. They're listed as having a 36.6" seat height.

I've sat on one they are low.

Good to know, I've yet to get up next to one in the flesh. My inseam would love that seat height. My TC is lowered 1" and it's still tricky at times, plus I want a 2 stroke.
