• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 2015 TE125

This is all awesome info to read - totally reinforcing my decision to get one of these babies! With the holidays, even with a couple of milder weather days, I still haven't been out on mine. Thanks for the ride reports guys!
You are such a weenie! Might as well wait till mine gets here now. Jeeeesh!

I got my Michelin AC10's with short studs mounted up. Using my spare set of Husaberg blue wheels.

KS9- haha no worries, hope you enjoy it.
TROF- That's really funny, because that's the other bike I am considering, I just haven't seen an Xtrainer up close yet and am curious if it is going to be too small or just right. We have some pretty gnarly stuff here and anything more than a 200 is too much for me most of the time. A shorter bike like the Xtrainer might be perfect. My buddy is absolutely in love with his Free Ride (except for on gravel roads)When you get a chance, shoot me some details on your TE at aaronc70@hotmail.com

Good luck getting one , I was on the list with two dealers with deposits since November. These things are scarcer than unicorn steaks.

Saying you are getting them and actually getting them isn't the same thing, Beta cannot meet demand. Most dealers I have spoke with ordered 5-7 and have received 1-3 units . They also upped the price $4-500.00 for the 16's. I have had mine for 2 weeks and they are definitely worth the wait.

He has sold several already and more in transit last time I spoke with him a few days ago. He ordered like 17 and got like 4-5 so far I believe. Yes, trickle in over the year. He is a top dealer and gets his orders in quick and does well. Just tossing it out there if anyone is looking for one local he might have some soon.

- do those really not have compression adjusters on the forks?
- Olle forks and shock. Interesting, not sure I have heard of them.

Compression is spring preload with adjuster on top , I think the suspension works great for what the bike is designed to do

Compression and spring preload are completely different things. Yes tests report it is crazy soft but good for beginners and trail work which the bike is targeted for. Beta sure builds some nice bikes. Buddies 300rr is very nice.
