• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Husky's not available in the U.S.?

I seriously don't think anyone is trying to degrade anyone here.

Right now is a GREAT time for huge savings on Italian Huskys, and you'll love any bike you pick for sure.

I have picked up 3 since the announcement of the S.P. purchase, all at great pricing.

Agreed - some great deals right now on the Italian built units. And, yes they are all good. My choice would be a TXC310 or WR300 (WRs are bulletproof) especially in mud races.

I brought home a 2013 WR125 a couple weeks ago for $4K OTD.

That's a lot of fun for 4G'S, being brand new n all.

Couple months ago, brought home a 2012 WR250 for $5K

Right now, they have a 2013 WR300 FOR $5K

That is AWESOME. Going to look a bit harder. Still haven't ruled the new ones out, but that's a heck of an incentive.

Orion, Don't know what part of the country you live. but, Halls Cycle in Springfield , IL. is where I get my bikes. Those guy are awesome about taking care of you. They all race what they sell and are extremely knowledgeable. They have some petty good deal right now. Call and ask for Steve or Bob.

Cool. I hope so. I've wanted a Husky for a long time.

The point of the other response to this isn't to "degrade" anybody, it's simply to point out what what you are saying doesn't make a lot of sense.

If you've wanted a Husky for a long time, you're talking about the TE/TC/WR bikes that they have been making for the last 10 years. The "new" bikes (the KTM-owned models) are good bikes, great bikes even; however, they are just the same KTMs/Husabergs you've been able to buy for the last 10 years, and they have nothing in common with any Husky you've seen up to now.

So, the point is, if you've "always wanted a Husky," go buy one of the many 2013/2014 "anniversary" models that dealers still have in stock, at half or 2/3 of the price of what you'll pay for a KTM Husky. On the other hand, if you really want one of the "new" models and you're worried about finding a dealer, just walk into your local KTM dealer and buy whatever orange bike suits your need.

I don't know. The way they have to restrict them to get them to pass EPA just guts them, then the buyers either get a crappy running bike, or have to spend $500 to get them to run right. Frankly, to get my TE310 to run right in the dirt made it virtually useless on the street. Short jaunts on gravel connecting roads between trails is all it is good for, and any sustained riding over 45 mph really is no fun.
That's exactly what happened to my TE510. Sums it up perfectly

Dang! Lucky you!! I wanted to grab up a WR125 also. Not in the budgey :(

There are like 600 or so in the States, if Im not mistaken. Probably gonna be a while til we see "new new" Huskys otherwise that'd be pretty jacked up for dealers to be sitting on the current 110 anniv models.
Wondering how this will play out for all the current Husky dealers who have to meet with their dealer reps to go thru the "application process" of becoming a new Husky dealer.

Hay the wr125 is an awesome bike I'd take it that it s road retested in the US
It's one hell of a refine bike just like the wr250/300
If I was to put my cash on the table it would be on a 125 or 300
I'm not sure if you are a 2t or4t rider but if I was you I'd buy a red/white one and buy anew gen in a couple yrs just so you know wot you could have missed out on LOL

Not totally a ktm copy.

Wow, quite the little scrum going oh here...
It's plain fact that if you want a actual new Husky, you should look to 2015. The current bikes are just homologated bits from the KTM and Berg bins. They need time and R&D to create new bikes from the ground up.

I'm not under the belief that they will change a lot from the huskabergs we are seeing now. Which is fine, should be really good bikes as is.

One of our crew IS going to get a new FE350. White Husqvarna (made in Austria) ASAP.
I for one am hoping for some engineering mod to the KTM based 350 engine to make it more "enduro" feeling, perhaps as simple as mapping or more in depth with cam profiles etc. The kato 350 powerplant is too Cairoli (for me).

I have ridden the three flavors of KTM 350's and am shocked how much different the W is from the XC. Does not even feel like the same motor. The Xc has WAY more power. The W is mellow and needs reved to haul the mail.

As for as the new rides all my buddies are excited about the linkage 300 2 stroke. That bike is going to be a big seller here.
