  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st 2013 wr 300 no spark ? Should I buy?

Hi I have a 2013 HuHusqvarna wr 300 I could buy for 2000 and it has no spark guy says it ran fine then next day no spark is this a easy fix ? Please let me know soon do these bikes have common problems?

2k who cares pull the trigger quick before he sobers up but to answer your question no likely sumpin simple

I agree, that's abut 1/2 price for that bike if it's in good shape otherwise. Could just be a loose connection, but also could be CDI or stator. Even then it's still a good deal.

im gonna try to get my hands on it guy bought it and next day wouldnt start so hope easy fix but still2 k is a steal! :) are there any other common problemos with these bikes?

No huge prob's typically, but quite a few reports of siezures because POS carb is delivered lean and the original rubber intake boot often leaks. As some others did I used '01 Honda Cr250 gaskets on the boot and reed block. So check that BEFORE RIDING! Many are happy with the stock carb and a JD jet kit. For a real wow moment and a big smile spend some of the money you saved a custom Lectron carb from Kelly at Motosportz
Also, check every bolt and fluid, be careful not to over tighten because many strip out easily. When I serviced my forks I found different levels of what looked like different fluid  Also I found top shock mount bearing greased and bottom dry, so check that, linkage and wheels. Also, lube the cables. I didn't realize what sh*t my cables were until I replaced 'em. The list goes on for me, typical old-school, exotic Euro 2t, reminds me of my years on Maico :oldman: (<- Norm :) )
Just search for wr300 here and get comfortable

Sounds good should I get this bike or a 09 250 with like 20hrs brand new condition for 29 ? I will be racing but I think I'll like the extra torque of the 300 coming off a 450

How many hours on the 300? Some big diff btwn 09 and 13, especially forks and that bloody Ducati dig ignition. Despite the weak spark mine now starts easy cold, warm and in gear. That was a big milestone for me. Don't know where you are or what you're racing, but can't race HS or GP if your bike won't start.
I still say, if the 300 isn't ragged, grab it, plan on a carb and maybe a cdi at worst. Still under $2900. You can tune it to scream like a 250 if you want to

which cr ignition can i use for my 2002 wr 250.the ignition is the magneto?
There's at least 1 thread here discussing the details. Not sure what would be needed in your case, maybe just the ignition which is small box connected to the spark plug wire. You can find parts diagrams online that show all the pieces.

The 300 doesn't look ragged at all actually it looks really nice to be honest has decalworks graphics are the 13s or the 09s better ? And what's the most it could cost if the cdi and ignition were bad ? I will be trail riding and a lot of gncc though I'm not to fast looks like a good bike and how much is a custom carb
