  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello, I am a new member. I am from the USA, North Carolina area. I am looking to buy a 2013 TE511 really soon. I just need to know how people like theses bikes and how well they ride. because I cant test drive one at any dealerships. also how long do theses bikes last? If anyone wants to share there opinions about the bike I would like to hear. thanks

If you are in western NC, go to Eurosport Asheville. Good guys to deal with. I have an '11 model. It's been a great bike so far. I don't ride much on street though, all off road.

I talk to the people at Eurosport they were really nice and helpful, compared to the idiots at the dealership in Raleigh NC, I would like to buy from Eurosport but it will cost be $1500 more plus a good 3 hour drive. When Raleigh is like 15 minutes away and i can get the bike for $6999 otd.

+1 Excellent off road machines. As long as you understand that going in. It's pretty much a plated dirt bike that can be legally
ridden on the street but if that is your priority you might not be too enthused. I love my 511 now going on almost 3000 miles. Approx 90% of which
is off-road it has yet to let me down or leave me stranded even in the stickiest of situations. It's a keeper...

I liked your little step up at 2:22. You needed a granny gear for that. What are you using for your sprockets?

I recently put a 48t on the rear. First seems a little tall but I can usually compensate with a little clutch feather action.

A great bike! and really simple to change the oil on!!

why do you say that? It is super EZ. drains out the side so you dont need to crawl under it, filter is right there, filler is EZ. On the other hand my te310 riding buddy hates doing his with the hard to get to drain plug with hose.

I know it's super easy, that was in reference to Yogi's in ability to perform such a simple task!

310's are easy to change. You get one of those hundred dollar oil suckers from harbor freight, pull the fill cap and suck the oil out, put fresh back in. :p

If you are in European NC, go to Euro-sport Ashe-ville. Excellent people to cope with. I have an '11 design. It's been an excellent ride so far. . .

Jerbear....that is an awesome video!! I hope to ride some trails like that soon...hmmm maybe my riding skills need to be developed more?
