  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2013 TE310 throttle and stalling issue

SDHUSKY310

Husqvarna
C Class
I recently purchased a 2013 TE310R. During and after the recommended break in period the bike will randomly stall at the twist of the throttle. It will also stall when engaging the clutch to downshift. This happens whether the bike is warm or cold. The bike is stock and the power up kit has not been installed (yet). Is the power up kit the only answer or is there something that can be done to keep the bike within a legal standard?

You could try and leave all the OEM stuff on the bike and not power up and get the ECU richened up a little, the bike is very lean from the factory.

Solution (for me) was dealer swapping filter frame for unrestricted one, and tune to stock specs, with a reflash of the ecu. No power up necessary. I get an occasional stall at opening the throttle, when engine's warm after refueling, but if I let it idle for a moment or just crack the throttle on restart, it runs fine. No issues otherwise with flame outs on downshifting or just all the time, as mine did when new.

Thank you both. Those were the answers I was looking (hoping) for. Dropping off this week and am anticipating good results. I appreciate the input and alternative solution.

I thought we had seen the last of these issues with the arrival of the 2013 'R', seems not.

I have a 10 TE310. My bike absolutley rips and handles so awesome...the power up kit is the ONLY answer. George did mine and alot of guys in So Cal like you.

I'd call him...7145402920

That is my concern! No doubt it will resolve with the power up, just thought with the improvements on the '13 it wouldn't be necessary. Love the bike though and appreciate the input.

Did you leave the evap canister attached? How about the O2 sensor? Taking it in tomorrow and only looking for the changes you mentioned.

I removed the canister and capped the manifold after getting the bike back from it's initial tuning. The 02 sensor is attached. Nothing but the swap of the filter frame was needed.

Johnrg,
Which dealer did the re-flash for you and what did it cost? Thanks, Kevin

Hey guys, I recently purchased a 2013 TE310R. The first day I took it out I did not have any problems. But as I was preparing to go riding for the second time I ran in to an issue. The bike keeps stalling even after warm up. The dealer's service department is closed tomorrow and I was planing on going riding with my brother, I was wondering if there is anything I can do tonight to make it run for tomorrow? The bike is still stock. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Thank you Tinken! I will try that out in the morning and see if it helps. Is there anyway to tell if/when the TPS has been successfully reset?
