  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE 310****************************************

how does the 47 rear sprocket work. are you doing some open road riding ?

No open road riding, this bike will be for tough technical rides and races, the 2011/2012 x light engine is more than tourqey enough to pull 12/47 gearIng if i was going to the desert with this bike i'd run a 46 tooth rear sprocket.

The 47 tooth sprocket stretches out the gears just enough, so you dont have to keep changing gears, for tight single track 2nd and 3rd gear is all you need

I was wondering the same as 'eramsey' but it all makes sense now seeing as your running a 12 tooth front sprocket.

Very similar ratio to 13/51.

I wish paul feeney could put toby price on a husky :applause: pricy luves his 350 but i think he loves the cash 2

Yeah almost identical ? Why would you not stick with 50t or just change the rear to 51t . Better chain / guide life with a 13t Front ?????

How is the TC carb inlet boot different than the TE? Can post a snap of either, when viewed from the inside?

I've been lead to believe that a 12 tooth sprocket is the only size that fits the x-light engine and gearing changes need to be made at the rear. Maybe i wrong, but never tried to put a 13 tooth on the front because of what i've been told.

The TC inlet boot is a lot straighter than te TE's, the air has to go round a corner with the TE inlet, where as with the TC inlet it doesnt
Will post a pic when i get the bike back.

It comes with a 13t on the front ! (well certainly does in Europe).

That makes more sense. So 13/47 is just a tad more street friendly than the 13/50 combo.

Yes, but it never gets ridden on the street, i find that set up stretches out the gears perfectly so im not constantly changing gears in the tight stuff and the engine is plenty strong enough to pull that greaing no problems at all

13/47 i think would be to long in the gearing ..13/50 std would pull a hell lot better in the tight stuff most who ride tight stuff or race would use 13/50 to 13/51-52 try it you will enjoy it can hold 3rd gear in thr tight stuff with out it labouring and having to drop back a gear rember these engines rev to 11,000 rpm

No need for the 12 port injector and ecu, after having the head ported and the electronic jet kit, plus exhaust system.
This bike makes very similar power as Australian Factory Husqvarna rider Glen Kearneys bike!

will you be getting it dyno tuned as most of these mods will only work if you get them dyno tuned and you will not get any were near the power of G.K 310 with a E.J.Kit.. FACT but you will get good seat of you pants power with your mods

and as for G.K's bike thay had a few problems getting the power thay wanted and yes i know the tuner that tunes the pfg race bikes

Yes my bike will be going on a dyno!

Got my bike back from www.chadsoffroadsetups.com.au on friday afternoon, as soon as i got it home i put it in the garage and loaded my 449 onto the trailer and headed up to the Victorian High Country for a weekends riding!

We did 280km for the weekend and the bad news is on Sunday i caught my left foot between a log and my bike and broke my foot!

So i still haven't ridden my new bike, and it will be at least another 4 weeks before i get to ride my new 2012 TE310
