  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 Husqvarna TE310 ECU Upgrade...

You all suck. I've had this Injector/ECU for months, we need more people to talk about how easy it is lol. I'm diving into it tomorrow :). There's always a race weekend or time to ride now I'm nervous about it lol. As far as a TPS reset, what are your shops charging you? An hour?

75-110 an hour. Buy the iBeat it's worth it.

Well if I put it on some say it may not need the TPS reset. My question is, if it needs the reset could I order the Ibeat and wait a week or two or will the bike run like complete crap until the reset? I'm assuming it will just run like it does now and be fine until I get the Ibeat shipped but would rather learn from others then assume lol

I installed mine without the need for tps adjustment. It's an easy job. If the injector screws won't budge don't waste time trying with the throttle body in place, it's rubber mounted and will just wobble when any force is used. Just remove it and a few taps with a hammer and chisel and they'll loosen. Replace with cap heads.
Best mod it did to my 2010, runs flawlessly at any throttle position.

It IS easy, however, Kroil is the answer. Squirt some on the JIS screws and let them sit for a while before you try to remove them. They will come right out. If removing the subframe takes 5-hours, you have done something terribly, terribly wrong.

I did mine with the throttle body still on the bike. I removed the subframe and took the shock off for a spring change while I was at it. If you are not sick of hearing it by now, Kroil is the answer for loosening those stuck screws. No shop should be without a can.

I agree tap on the head of the screws with a hammer and punch and it will make it easier to loosen the screws.

YOURS was easy. Removing the subframe took 5 minutes. Getting to the point where I could remove the four bolts took at least 3.5 hours. It was spread out over at least two trips to my storage unit/garage a month apart, so it's hard to tell exactly. An hour of that was just removing the fuel tank cuz that stupid connector sucks. I'm sure someone that's pulled all this stuff off BEFORE can do it much faster.

I had one screw came out easy, and one that was stuck, just like yours. A little Kroil, a small chisel, and a hammer and it is a piece of cake. Did you swap out the ECU yet?

No, I went for the injector first. I see the ECU mounted upside down and the screws are buried, complicating the removal, though.

I'm confused. TWO WCUs came in the kit. One packed loose with the exhaust (rightmost) and one with the injector (middle). Stock is leftmost.

My gut says use the one with the injector...

BTW, ECU is in a rubber sleeve.I found it easier to remove it sleeve on, but once you see it off, it's easy to remove from the sleeve. Reach in and pull down on the back of the sleeve and pull the ECU out after unplugging it.

The chisel worked after a few tries. Just aim straight down on one side and rap it good. It loosened up enough that I undid it with my finger. I guess it was corrosion holding it in, not torque. Thx for the help. I used PB Blaster, letting it sit while I replaced the ECU.

The old injector seemed to work fine. I buy quality gas, or so I thought! Look at that crud!

Yes the one that says TXC. Not sure why you have an additional TE one
I ordered the full kit with the Meo replica exhaust. It's one of the two exhausts
It says are required. I got it pretty cheap, so I figured I'd go for it.

Just gotta put it back together now. Maybe next weekend.

Never even heard of a Meo replica exhaust. Have a picture? :). I did find a full Arrow Ti exhaust for an awesome price though
