  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc '14 CR125 to Woods Weapon

I agree that it won't make me go any faster or probably improve the performance of the bike much. Really the only mods that would benefit me would be suspension, a pipe and possibly a Lectron carb.. For me a part of the enjoyment is making the bike look nice and gives me a hobby I enjoy and can afford. I would think someone who sells aftermarket goodies for big toys would appreciate and encourage such purchases. :)

All good stuff. Was just asking as I was confused why people would pay $80 for some colored hoses. For some of the newer bikes it makes total sense. For others they just like the looks. got it. thats why I asked.

Look what just showed up via FedEx:

I ordered it yesterday from Hall's. Made by Acerbis, should have known.

Bad news though, had surgery on my right elbow this morning, won't be doing much for 2 weeks until the splint comes off.

Yeh thanks - I stupidly sold it . It was a bit blingy for me really . It was going real hard though with the 144 kit and mikuni with rm needle. Didn't hill climb quite as well as the 165 though

The 144cc cylinder came back from porting. Very nice job, pictures don't do it justice. MaxPowerRPM have a great rep around here.

They ported Grass Roots BMW's MX Huskies, and they ripped.

I had them just clean up and flow the ports.

Silly question, but has anyone plated a cr125 and used it to connect to trails and the sort? With the 144 kit and up a tooth in the front would it be able to hit 70mph for a mile or two? OR is that maxed out?

Thinking of buying one of these to make into a supermoto for the go kart track. Never had a 2t before so unsure of the power these things have.

Interesting - has anyone else flowed their head?

i had a cylinder done on a gizmo called an extrude hone it forces an abrasive puddy though all the ports polishes everything slick where ever its restricted it just takes a bigger bite so it all gets equalized its an airo space thing the outfit was in paramount CA that ol bike was purddy strong

I would think 70mph is asking a lot. Bad things happen riding at wot for long periods if your not jetted for it.

troy do you have contact info for this company? I'm not too far from paramount and might get something similar done.... cost?

After reading for 3 hrs. about mikuni and keihin jetting issues, and the wonders of the Lectron, I ordered one from Kelly. I know.... I'm weak.:excuseme:
All parts are ordered, and on the way, I'm like a kid waiting for my birthday.
