  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc '09 WR/CR125 P3 Carbon Fiber Tank

Hey Norm, you need to Chaperon that tank to Las Vegas. You have seen the commercials and you know what happens out there.

Sorry Norman, no pics yet. I didn't even get to see it for myself. Jeff said it came in tuesday and shipped out tuesday for Vegas. They did fit it to a 125 and he said it fit good with a few minor things to address.

They are leaving friday and Jeff said he would take pics of the tank from the Endurocross. Most likely on one of the TC 250's.

Latest Update

Jay Hall took the tank to LV and it fits the new 250F. Stock tank is 7liters (1.85 gal), the large tank availible from Husky for '10 is going to be8 liters (2.1 gal) and the P3 tank is 10 liters (2.7 gal).

I'm getting 30-35 miles on a tank right now. The 2.7gallon tank would put me at 43-50 miles. Better, but still not stellar. I'm getting 16-19mpg on my WR125 but think I may be jetted a little rich. What are you guys getting?

Let me know if you want help rejetting it.

Side note - your HDB guards should be here any day.

My tank has arrived after being all over the U.S.! It is all Kevlar, no Carbon Fiber. it might look a little less sexy (Still a work of art), but the plus is.... It's translucent, so you can see the fuel level. I'll post some pics tonight.

I'm anxiously awaiting those pics

I've seen many kevlar products but not a tank. Did he do that specifically to make it translucent or was there another reason?

Maybe because he did it before?

Hey... I remember that bike! That was Joel Dengler's #10 factory factory Husky GNCC bike.

He had some good results... it's a shame that he and Freddy didn't have any money behind them.
