• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

08 IMS tanks shipping?

Jeff is shipping mine in natural tomorrow. Kelly please keep us posted on a way to use the new tanks with your damper. It is going to be a tough choice for a while...damper or fuel...:) Ken

The damper is useless without fuel, duh. :D

Jeff shipped mine today so I'll get crackin on it.

Glad to see this is out, but I wish they'd have also come out with one at 2.5 gallons without those wings. The trees here are awfully close together and I know I'll be hitting a few.

UPDATE: After talking with Jeff at Halls, I am now in line for a tank. It sounds like I just need to stop hitting trees but even if I do, there's a high confidence in this design:)

not mine but photos posted by another who has mounted it

I'm in line for a black one as well, come up with something quick Kelly, I've got an event planned for the TXC in September and need the larger tank, but would love to have a stabilizer. What's the possibility of making a post that is threaded and has a sleeve to go around the tank mount pillar on the frame and replace the tank mount bolt? Then use that contraption as a post for the steering stabilizer. How bad does the distance from center of the pivot throw off the stabilizer's function?

When I get the tank on I can figure out what to do. Should not be a huge ordeal / have some ideas from pix I was sent.

You are one busy cup cake...

i went natural**************************************** glad to see one mounted up !!! they did a great job on the fit.

I put in for an unnatural one, 3 gallon is perfect for my little world. Encouraging to finally have them available!

I was talking to Scott Summers about the tank being vulnerable. He said it was nothing to worry as the handlebars would protect it. Don't know but it holds more fuel so I guess it serves the purpose.

Jeff is shipping my black tank tomorrow. :)
I gotta say I'm disappointed they left out the ball ramp. :p
